We have spent 3 nights at this bed and breakfast. We were shocked at the size of the room for the money ( which was taken from my master card a week before our arrival) The owner demanded to know when we were arriving(check in 14.00 until 21.00We stated between 15.00 and 16.00 and when we arrived he was not there....

Oh dear, sorry we did not come up to your standard. just one small correction - we always ask for an arrival time as it helps us to plan the day. We have never, and we would never make a "demand" of it. Thank you.

We have just come back from a 3 night stay in the Lakes and found the hotel a great place to stay, Although it is situated on a steep hill, it only takes a few minutes to be in the middle of Bowness. It was perfect for our stay. The hotel has parking which is an added advantage. The room...

This is a lovely little guest house. Really nice rooms, very clean and comfortable with easy parking. Beautiful gardens. Only a stone throw from the centre of town. It's our second stay at this guest house and we'll be definitely going back again.

we have just returned from a pleasant 3 night stay at the fairfield guest house, we found it to be good value, we had a four poster bed, whirlpool bath, garden view room, and a good choice of free tv channels, the breakfast was very good and waiter served, the owners gave us some helpfull advice on local attractions, it...

Thanks. That about covers everything I guess. Except to say that we also have our own parking which is unusual.

Located a short (but very steep) walk from the town centre this guest house is attractive and well cared for. We were given a friendly welcome by the owners and the rooms, while a little on the small side, were very comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are stocked with a nice range of toiletries and tea and coffee are also...

Lovely location at the end of The Dales Way, but disappointing service from the owners. As guests we felt that we were not welcome, as they had so many rules and strange requests, we couldn't chill out here at all, at the end of the Dales Walk. Any reasonable request was seemingly met with a reluctant shrug of the shoulders....

Hi and thanks. I don't recall any of the comments, but if you say it happened then I guess you are right. Early check-out is something where you can help us. We cook all breakfasts fresh for each customer and so would ask that you avoid checking out whilst we are preparing and cooking the food. otherwise if you want...

1. Either we or our tour company made a mistake and booked the wrong type of room. The owner, Tony, immediately worked out a solution that was perfect. It wasn't even his fault and he made it work in peak season. That doesn't happen in most establishments. 2. Staying here is like a treasure hunt. Every day you notice some...

I had booked a double room for the long bank holiday weekend. The online booking process was quick and straight forward. It was my first time staying at this hotel so initially I thought that the price was a bit high, however, I can now say that it was totally worth it. Both me and my wife enjoyed our stay...

Thank you for your comments. We have tried to keep the decor as close to the early 20th century as we can to reflect the historical background of the house. Hope to see you again.

Made to feel welcome by the hosts Liz & Tony from arrival to departure. Staying there was something to tick off my bucket list as being the home of one of my relatives Annie Garnett. Tony gave me a little more insight to Annie Garnett's life, but also confirmed my investigations. He also let me see one of the apartments...

Thank you. The history of our house is one of its strongest assets and we are only to glad to pass on such knowledge as we have and exchange with others who have more than we do. See you again hopefully - oh, and yes, the spa is now working again :-)
