Detailed Reviews
"Essential Elemental ... Bathe, Cheveux et Corps, Fresh Nerole " is the name ... and saving soap is the game. This bathroom item must be Marvel of the Month and the Wyndham Group who run the Days Inn Hotel franchise have really hit the button with the soap dispensers provided in their wonderful bathrooms. When I asked the very helpful girl on the desk for their best room she handed over the plastic card-like key to 217 on the second floor. And seconds later, I entered the best and brightest hotel room ever available for less than sixty quid a night. Four nights in this comfortable luxuriously modern accomodation was to die for. As all others around are pared down in service, quality and decoration, "Days Inn" are as they were, with the minimum of inconvenience and the maximum of hospitality during this horror of Covid Year. I am delighted to recommend this particular hotel for those who wish to explore Yorkshire.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was basic nut comfortable and clean.
Internet access was by both ethernet (which I did not use but there was a cable) and Wifi (which I did use) and there was no need for a code or password. I dd not check internet speed but it was perfectly adequate for my web access.
I did not need to use a room telephone to contact recepton which is just as well as there was no telephone although the room information leaflet said there was.
Location was at the side of the service area and so was very handy and easy to reach. Thre was ample free parking. Te hotel was not at all noisy and my room overlooked open countryside..
Breakfast was buffet service basic continental and had plenty of choice although there was no marmalade..

It was very conveniently situated to break up our journey to a family event. Comfortable Stay overnight for one night. We were on the front side so there was noise from the motorway if you needed the window open. The breakfast was excellent for a non kitchen breakfast and the Covid precautions went a long way to make you feel safe. Some heightened direction on use of hand gel before entering the food area would improve confidence. I would stay here again

The hotel is modern and well designed with good measures to minimise road noise. However our family was disturbed night and morning by barking dogs outside the hotel (there is a dog walking area next to the bedrooms) and the htoel have a lot of dog hair on the carpets. Breakfast was uninspiring so I'd suggest a room rate without breakfast so you can use other providers at this service stop. We had a cheap deal so it was reasonable value for money but I would have felt cheated if i'd paid full price!

Friendly staff on reception who explained the layout of the hotel and offered any assistance if needed. Upon arrival the hotel rooms (two booked) were made up ready for our booking and were spotless - exceptionally clean, everything in working order, felt like a brand new hotel. No problem when asking for a fan due to it being a warm evening. Had a great sleep in a comfy bed with next to no external noise despite the hotel being positioned at a service station next to the A1M.
The free continental breakfast was enjoyable with plenty on offer. A great hotel in a brilliant location for visiting York.

The hotel is spotless and in a great location with plenty of options on the doorstep for eating and leisure
The staff were great and very efficient
Rooms are tastefully decorated and toilets were spotless. Room above must have had a group of elephants staying such was the noise, or maybe it was just normal guests walking about in a poorly insulted cheap build quality hotel as many modern buildings are. That’s said I would definitely return and would recommend to others without hesitation. We asked for our family to be close to us and we’re given adjoining rooms which was great. Next time I will ask for top floor and all will be well with the world EXCEPT THE MATTRESS which are far to soft and springy and not a patch on the other larger chain hotels

We've been here a few times and it's been ok, but this time wasn't so good.
The room reeked of cigarette smoke it was over powering, so I went to open the window and the window board was filthy ring marks all over it. I went to sanatise my hands and there wasn't any in the room. I went got some tissues and my own can of dettol spray and cleaned the windboard and sprayed the whole room, the bed, switches, dresser, remote and bathroom. After I thought cuppa tea time. Flipping dirty mugs. So I cleaned them aswell.
Hopefully this was all a one off.

Seriously good value for money.
Very clean, comfortable with all facilities available.
It was very hot and there is no air conditioning but they were happy to supply a fan. Had to close Windows as there was a lot of motorway noise.
Continental breakfast was very good- good service too.
Given the access to the motorway and road systems this was ideally placed for us.
Lots of lovely restaurants and pubs very close too.
At breakfast a man was demanding his bill be reduced as his TV was not working the night before.
( he didn’t report it at the time) he disrupted everyone’s breakfast as he was shouting and totally out of order. The member of staff on duty ( Saturday morning) handled the incident really professionally- well done.
We will definitely stay again.
Other should note that this place offers more than some chain hotels at twice the price.
Thank you

Stayed at Days Inn Wetherby at the end of November 2022. Had requested a ground floor room at the time of booking. Upon arrival I was told that no ground floor rooms were available I was also told that all the disabled rooms were on the first and second floor! Eventually after insisting that a ground floor room be found, one was. Right at the very end of the hotel, a long walk for my disabled wife.
Later that evening, when entering the shower I found that the interior of the shower doors were covered in algae!
I have stayed at this hotel many times before and never had a problem and had always been given a ground floor room which also included a wet room style shower.
I suspect that the management of the hotel had changed, I did not see any staff members that I recognised.
I have tried to engage with the customer service department but my queries have been ignored, hence this review. I have asked them to explain why I was told that the disabled rooms were on the first and second floor and told them that I would be unable to use the hotel if I could not book a ground floor room.
Also when leaving the hotel it was obvious that very few of the ground floor rooms were occupied . See photographs of shower

The Days Inn Wetherby has had a makeover since our last stay, making it a really modern and fresh place to stay at. Fab location for us when visiting family and really reasonable rates. The location at the services gives you a great variety of places to eat, although they do offer a breakfast service there now too!

Do you rooms provide a kettle?
Our bar is open from 12 noon until late for residents. At present as we are on the MOTO services which has some fast food outlets we are not permitted to serve meals other than breakfast at the hotel, but we do hope that may change in the near future. We look forward to welcoming you to the hotel soon.

Not exactly .. But shouldn't be a ransom .... it's about a ten minute run from the Days Inn.
