What a find. We had a great time over 3 days. Nicola and Jamie and family are lovely and so is the guest house. We arrived really early and asked if we could drop the car off and go and get some food. Jamie greeted us and it was no problem getting our keys and being checked in. Jamie explained the...

This is a really lovely guest house in so many ways. Jamie and Nicola made us feel so very welcome. We were met in their private car parking area by Jamie and after being greeted by Nicola we were taken up to our room. So cosy and immaculate. The complimentary tray was stocked each day...that was great for me as...

We have just returned from spending the weekend at this guest house and I would like to say how impressed we were. We were met by Jamie who helped us park our car. Many hotels in Weymouth don't have free parking and this can be expensive. He carried our bags in and was very friendly and helpful. Our room was...

Host's were lovely. The breakfast was delicious. They have a fridge in the dining room which you can put things like lactose free milk in. The parking is tight but organised. I have added a photo of the view from my room and some of the town. The town centre is a leisurely 10 min stroll along the promenade. I...

Had a great 3 night break at this well run B & B. The hosts Nicola and Jaime are lovely. Our room was on the top floor so we had great views over the beach front. Breakfast was delicious and not rushed so was nice to relax. Will definitely recommend The Alendale and look forward to returning.

My wife and I have just spent a week at the Alendale. Best B&B. Nicola and Jamie are birilliant hosts; really helpful and friendly. On our arrival it was teeming with rain but Jamie was out helping me with my luggage. We stayed in Room 4 which was a family room; very spacious. Everything was spotlessly clean. There is an...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Alendale Guest House is a warm and comfortable Grade II listed Georgian building in the beautiful seaside holiday town of Weymouth, Dorset, situated in a terrace at the end of the esplanade. It is just across the road from the beach and a short walk to the harbour and shopping centre and the old town with its restaurants, bars and nightlife. Retaining many of its Georgian features and character, the guest house offers comfortable, fresh accommodation on a B&B basis. All the rooms have en-suite facilities and families are welcome. We pride ourselves at the Alendale on our high standard of cleanliness. In your room you will find a well supplied hospitality tray and often home made cakes. We also provide hair dryers, sewing kits and shoe cleaning kits. An iron and board can be provided on request and we can also arrange dry cleaning. The Alendale has a modern dining room that can sit 14, with views towards the beach. We have a wonderful breakfast menu and source all our produce, where possible, directly from Dorset. The menu includes a full English breakfast with a choice of selected extras, or perhaps local grilled kippers or scrambled egg and smoked salmon with toasted brioche. There is also a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. You can also help yourself to our breakfast buffet which includes fruit and a range of Dorset Cereals. Special diets can be catered for with prior notice but we generally find that most vegetarians can find something suitable from the menu. Our motto is, "If we can, we will"! ... more   less
