Everything I wrote in July 2014 still stands true! This is an excellent hotel and perfect for all generations. We adore it and have already booked another weekend stay in 2017 for 27 members of our family - can't wait!

Dear StickynNat, Thank you so much for taking the time to post a second review, but more importantly, returning to visit us again. I am so pleased that your stay was as good as the last (which really means that it was better, because your expectations were higher this time!) and we cannot wait to welcome you back next year!...

Visited for a weekend in August. Had a lovely time and wanted to stay longer - the weather helped!! Our 'room' in the coach house was lovely and perfect for families (more of a house than s room!) but at £500 per night far from cheap! Hotel decor was largely shabby chic but we really liked that! Food and service...

We had an an amazing four nights at Moonfleet. The room was very spacious for our family of 4 plus our dog, fabulous facilities for our two boys who loved the pool, tennis courts, walks down to the sea and of course the play barn which kept them entertained all holiday. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the...

We chose Moonfleet when we heard it welcomed dogs and the fact that there was plenty for children to do come rain or shine. The sun did shine and it made the visit so special. You aren't surrounded here, it's secluded, special and yet relaxed. Our dog had a glorious time and as we had breakfast outside she joined us....

Smashing stay at this lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Great room that was clean and homely with a good view. Breakfast was exception and tasted great. But best of all was service. The staff could not do enough for us. Brill extras - pool, games room and cinema. This is a great place and will return without fail

My dad was visiting me in London from NYC and wanted to have a typical English seaside experience so we landed on Dorset. The hotel's location was beautiful with the green countryside on one side with an archipelago type beach in the front. Horses are grazing and there are some lovely walks. You can NOT walk to the proper beach...

We spent a long weekend here, desperately in need of relaxation. The old house is lovely: drawing rooms and lounges with huge squishy sofas, quirky knick knacks and ornate mirrors. The pool area is great, not huge but clean and well maintained. Lovely open playing area for our little one to toddle about in. We ate in the restaurant for...

Positives: -Beautiful setting (horses in a field, rural beach, secluded, etc) - Great for families with small children (playground, children movie screenings, tissues, pads, creams in toilets for nappy changing, etc). There are few 'baby related' pages in a hotel guide, and overall that seemed to be the 'common theme of the hotel' (my guess is that the owners are...

Arrived very early so went to breakfast (paid separately as room wasn't ready but wasn't a problem) Hot food was laid out in warming trays - Food wasn't hot and had to be returned to be heated up - The building its self is lovely but its not looked after and is in dire need of a good clean !...
