We ate here on 14 January. Very quiet. A friendly welcome, including for our dog, by the helpful staff. I had the steak and ale pie with carrot, cauliflower cheese and salad. My husband ate a cheese burger with bacon, chips, onion rings and salad. Very good.

As a family of six we can find it hard to find accommodation that suits our requirements ( 2 adults and 4 crazy kids!) we felt extremely welcome on arrival, we arrived early to the check in time but this was not a problem :-). We were shown to the room straight away. The room we stayed in was spacious,...

All evening food in Lyme was expensive - its like they have you trapped there so you can pay a high price. Couldnt help feeling let down though! The fish pie was pleasant, salad seemed like a token gesture and I was still hungry when id finished. Meal was around £17 - fish pie and a large glass of red....

I dont like to do bad reviews I try and find a positive in everything but this place really was the pits. I knew when we booked a 2* it was not going to be perfect. Little did we realise just how disgusting it was hoing to be. Its not even worthy of a 1* at £55 a night I...

Unhygienic and unorganised. We didn't even stay the night we demanded a refund it was so terrible, live wires hanging, dirty towels left, awful smells. ' we didn't have time to decorate' was the excuse given for being so poorly looked after. So many health and safety hazards about.

My wife, my youngest son (5) and I stayed here for a week during a fossil hunting trip to the Jurassic Coast. Aija and Ian were awesome! Parking was easy either in the small lot or on the street. It was comfortable walking distance to the sea front in down town and Brewers Quay. If you don't want to walk...

My granddaughter and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Old Castle Hotel, Weymouth...This is not a posh joint, eg no ensuite...BUT, it is clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious...There are regular bus rides into Weymouth from the top of a nearby hill {or a short, inexpensive taxi...

Stayed in room 1, couldn't find key. The room was shabby, no towels no tea/coffee fascility. The bed was one those cheap interior sprung types dleep almost impossible. Not en-suite, no prob with that. However the bathroom was basic, chips, poor paintwork, shower cubicle dirty. Asked for breakfast at 8am, because of no sleep went down at 8am. Told could...
