We have just returned from this Hotel after an overnight stay & had a fabulous time in beautiful surroundings. Our room was larger than expected, lovely & clean with all facilities. Large kingsize bed was very comfortable with lovely soft pillows. We had lunch in the Inn setting then dinner & breakfast in the restaurant - the food was excellent & plenty of it. The thing that my husband & I loved most was the friendly attentive staff. There are plenty of them so we didn't have to wait for anything as they just seemed on top of things all the time. There wasn't one that seemed unhappy & all took time to say hello or to chat which I feel says a lot about the management of the hotel as they seem to feel appreciated. Would highly recommend this Hotel & will definitely be returning, thank you.…
Had a very enjoyable 3 night stay recently at this nice country hotel. All the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We were especially looked after by Kyle which made our evening meal very entertaining! Rooms nicely decorated and clean credit to the cleaning staff. Good breakfast delicious evening meal can recommend the Mussels
One of my best choices booking here. As you approach hotel various animals roaming free as it’s in the New Forest. Beautiful village location. My biggest thanks are to the lovely reception staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Ultra friendly and give an awesome arrival to the hotel. Likewise to restaurant and bar staff, thank you. The room had a 4 poster but had a modern look with luxury shutters and an ultra modern bathroom which was huge. Great nights sleep. Very quiet overlooking the garden. Illy coffee machine in the room. Food in the restaurant was good although we felt not outstanding. But staff were taking feedback away and we felt very valued. Would stay here again in a heartbeat
The heading really says it all but we ate there with friends recently and the food, wine and service were all superb - recommended. The ;portions were very generous and the quality superb - Recommended dishes include the Steak and mushroom pie and the burger topped with local cheese.
Nicely styled country hotel with no shortage of staff who are all friendly and welcoming. The bar is pleasant to sit in, to drink or eat and drinks cost the same as local pub prices. The food in the restaurant is good and there is a fair choice. Our room facing the road (standard Superking) was very small - only room for one arm chair - and we found lacking in those things which should be included at the price of £225 per night. We would expect robes and slippers, filter coffee (not instant), shampoo and conditioner (not shampooing conditioner which doesn't have the same effect at all) and fresh milk. There wasn't a fridge but a small bottle of fresh milk (third of a pint) could still be provided each day. The duvets seemed budget quality but the bed was comfortable. Our friends booked a larger Superking room which they paid extra for but apart from a sofa, it was the same - no extras. The garden is mainly lawn with many places to sit and there is a large car park. It was a pleasant stay but could have been made more so with a few little extras which might have made it worth the price paid.…
We recently spent a weekend here and what a gem it is. Just a 15-minute walk from the station, this hotel is just outside the town centre, near some woodland and fields, perfect for an afternoon stroll. Gorgeous surroundings, great food and a wonderful team who made our stay the perfect weekend break.
Articulating how fabulous this weekend is going to be very easy! I will definitely be back! The team paid attention to every detail. Nothing was too much trouble. Hana especially was an exemplar in how hospitality should be offered and you should do all you can to keep her. I was at a wedding here and stayed 2 nights. It was a much needed break away from home too.
We came here for 2nights in early October for my birthday, and enjoyed the few days away and this lovely hotel, so came back for a further 4 nights on a spring break deal. Breakfasts are superb loved the fresh fruit bowls brimming with blueberries, strawberries plump raspberries etc with a creamy yogurt, had pancakes (photo below) and added on fresh fruit to that, very good orange juice and coffee. Good quality cooked breakfasts too. Decorated in a country theme, lots of stags and reindeers, and country check in modern setting.Staff are friendly and efficient. Nice rooms, set opposite the forest with views of ponies and donkeys. A good size car park, . Great base for the forest, and beaulieu, or the sea at Lymington, Hythe and Bournemouth etc.
Wow, what can I say about this wonderful hotel, the staff are first class! nothing was too much trouble, we received amazing customer service, we were sailing next day on a cruise and they printed all my documents off - thank you! The rooms were excellent and so was the breakfast. Great location in Brockenhurst. Cannot wait to come again and visit in June for our Anniversary.
Great hotel. We loved the location in the middle of the New Forest. We only stayed one night but would consider coming back. There are many places to walk/hike right from the hotel with the gorgeous horses roaming all around. It’s a great place to cycle. We stayed in 102 and it has a great view of the gardens. The garden was not open when we were there but I’m sure it’s nice when it is. The room was very comfortable. The internet did not work well but we weren’t there enough to care. The rooms do not have air conditioning but they supplied a fan. Room 102 does appear to be right over the dining area so you hear the music that they play in there. I think it’s because the speakers are in the ceiling which as our floor. It stopped at a reasonable time so it didn’t bother us.
