Myself and my partner stayed at the Highland House Hotel at the end of Feb 2016. The location was perfect, close to all restaurants and bars. The room was small with the shower built in to the wall in the room, but that never bothered us. We would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone staying in the area and...

Highland House “Hotel” (its a guest house!!), in Callander looks like it has some nice rooms from the pictures on the internet We had Room 6 so we can only report on that. Firstly, “Private bathroom” means you get a key to a bathroom down the corridor. OK, that’s strictly correct if no-one else has a key to that bathroom....

Unfriendly welcome. Small room. I think their was broken glass in the carpet (I couldn't walk in bare feet). Owner inexplicably and unannounced played bagpipes at full pelt in small breakfast room. I will not be back. I was thinking of 3 circles but "average" would do a dis-service to all the great b&b owners who try much harder this.

Room was very clean and comfortable, had no en suite but this didnt really matter as we had our own private bathroom across the hall. Breakfast was very good ,john was very attentive making...

We only stayed one night wanting to break a long journey from home in Derbyshire before going on to Skye The Highland house was perfect for our purposes. Easy to find in a quiet street in the town centre. They accepted our dogs for a very modest charge Nice walks nearby and good choice of eating places in the town....

If you are expecting a hotel, it's not. It's a couple ran B&B, they are lovely, bag pipes are a nice touch, good breakfast in the morning, close to shops, restaurants around. But that's about it. We had the misfortune of having one of the rooms with down the hall bathroom. Which is a tricky thing as the sign in the...

Despite its title this is no hotel but a basic b&b. My room was adequate but in desperate need of upgrading. The two teabags on the room tray made me smile and yet 4 milk containers? Adequate breakfast not sure if the skirl of the pipes exactly welcome early morning foreign visitors probably think it's a plumbing defect?

Great one night stay at this lovely wee guest house. I was given a double room with views of Ben Ledi - despite only having booked a single, because they weren't that busy on that Monday night. Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great! Owners are lovely people and so welcoming. Free Parking was available in the...
