Wow, what a place! So luxurious and cosy. Staff are very attentive and welcoming and not like the usual run of the mill hotel, very personal. My friend and I arrived bit early to check in so had coffee and their homemade shortbread in the large cosy lounge next to the smallest, cutest chapel. The soft furnishings are so tasteful...

Got a 2 night stay with dinner voucher for Christmas. The Roman Camp is an old quaint building. Lovely friendly welcome on arrival and a huge bedroom. The room was warm and cosy, with all facilities you could possibly require. Sometimes in old buildings, original features have to give way to the requirements of the guest. But not so here....

Our first time here and had a lovely three night stay over Valentines day. We had Valentines dinner in the restaurant and the food and service were both terrific in the beautiful dining room. The bedroom was well appointed for the price and the public areas (Drawing Room, Library and Bar) were beautifully furnished (very traditional) and very relaxing with...

I have been looking at this hotel for some years now, and could never EVER get weekend availability (due to there being so many weddings booked). Had to settle for a Sun & Mon night stay, and I'm so glad I did. The hotel sits in it's own grounds with the river Teith at the bottom of the sumptuous gardens....

We got married here in 2004, and returned for 2 nights. I'm delighted to say the place is still as wonderful. The staff will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. We eat from the tasting menu on both nights - top class food, varied selection and perfectly cooked by the same chef from 2004 . It was nice...

I visited here with my partner on 1st February for an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast included. First of all the superior room was beautiful! It had everything we needed including a big Jacuzzi bath 😊 we decided to go down for a few drinks at the bar and sat down next to a lovely lit fire which was...

A building rich with history and character. Grand high ceilings downstairs. Our small double bed room was attic style, with limited space. Lovley and warm rooms, nice breakfast. Easy walk to Main Street where there are many shops, coffee shops and restaurants. If you like modern hotels , big beds and plenty space, this may not be the right place...

The moment we walked into the Roman camp we were treated like VIP guests. Our room was spacious with a spa bath. The hotel has a lovely garden area which is a pleasure to walk around. The dinning room is beautiful, with its open roaring fire and decorative fire place. The chandelier is a real show stopper it's absolutely stunning....

My husband and I stayed on 21st Jan with my mum and dad for a much needed break and some quality time together. We were not disappointed! Graham, the general manager couldn't have done enough for us. His energy and enthusiasm was infectious and we couldn't help but like him. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a stunning meal...
