Beautiful house in a fantastic location. The owners are amazing, so friendly and helpful. They definitely went above and beyond to make us feel at home with them. Our dog was also warmley welcomed which was just lovely. Our room was big and spacious and very clean. Plenty of hot water, and a great shower. The bed was comfortable too....

Booked for one night due to early flight out of Bournemouth. The hotel is conveniently located to the airport, only a couple of minutes drive, which is why I booked. The hotel is situated down a long narrow track, parking at the hotel is limited, and requires cars to be lined up in the order they need to leave in...

Booked to stay for one night on 1st August before flying on holiday from Bournemouth airport....cost us £85....never had an experience like this.....house bleak and garden and grounds overgrown and untended...Mike (owner) seemed very surprised to see us! Room only just ok....carpet stained and furniture in poor state, chipped and flaking paint, two seater sofa so old and worn that...

Mike and Andrea are the consumate hosts and very welcoming. We arrived late but were kindly shown around the house and settled into our lovely rooms overlooking the fields. Spent the rest of the every being entertained at the bar and made to feel like returning guests even though this was our first stay. The full English breakfast was delicious...

My Mum, Aunt and Nan stayed at Heronshaw House from the 2nd to 4th September to celebrate my Nan's 89th Birthday. From arriving on the Friday afternoon we found Mike and Andrea to be very welcoming and friendly hosts, as well as nothing being too much trouble for them. After being shown to our lovely rooms we were settled into...

The B&B was beautifully decorated, mike (the owner) was very helpful throughout our stay. The full english breakfast was delicious. It was the perfect location if you want to get away from the noise of Bournemouth but still very easy to get to the pub for dinner. Highly recommend!

I cant go into too much detail as I arrived very late and left early without staying for breakfast. I spoke to Mike prior to my arrival and was able to see my room and get the key on Friday, prior to my late arrival on Saturday evening/Sunday morning. Just a short drive from Sopley Mill, Hersonshaw House was perfectly...

The new owners Andrea and Mike have done so much work to turn this place around from a slightly faded old manor into a beautiful country escape. Our room was well appointed, clean and comfy. Mike's breakfast was magnificent with local butcher sourced sausages, perfect eggs, and yummy bacon. They are perfectly situated for Bournemouth airport and if you ask...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer superior accommodation and great local food - ideal for a family celebration, a house party with friends, or just a pampered, relaxing weekend break. Heronshaw House at Hurn is a traditional 17th century stone-built farmhouse, with various brick modifications over the centuries, on the edges of the New Forest, in traditional farmland and therefore quiet, but surprisingly very close to all major transportation and Bournemouth Airport. Bournemouth centre is just 10 or 12 minutes away with its wonderful beaches and lovely town centre. ... more   less
