The owners are amazing. The views and the accommodation is fantastic. It was the perfect getaway, and the room was immaculate. Some great attractions nearby. DON'T MISS OUT, book a room! I suggest getting the Ruardean studio - this has amazing views, great kitchen area and the best shower I have ever used. You are in for a treat.

We had a wonderful weekend at The Rock. The owners, Chris and Lindy, were warm and welcoming. We took our mutt, a large labrador and wanted to rest and walk, and were able to do just that. With plenty of good walks from the doorstep, we were spoilt for choice. Chris has a collection of walks and excursions laminated and...

Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed your stay. The Ruardean is a very popular room, we plan to make it bigger next year by removing the wall and incorporating what is the single room with ruardean and moving the kitchen into that.

Fantastic setting and views, the breakfast is plentiful and good quality. The hosts have compiled wonderful hiking maps which meant we were able to cover 25km without using tarmac'ed roads - or getting lost. Dog friendly too. A great welcome.

We usually visit different places, but The Rock is so good this was our third stay. A group of 7, we stayed four nights - cycling, walking, sightseeing and eating! Chris and Lindy could not be more helpful, with bespoke recommendations of things for our group to do (including photocopying relevant information sheets/maps). The extensive breakfasts set you up for...

My wife and I booked ourselves into the Rock B&B for a few nights near to the Forest of Dean & Wye Valley. We opted to stay in the RUARDEAN suite due to the private terrace and amazing views. Our three night stay was excellent. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Helpfully, also dog friendly and they were very welcoming to Rodney our Rottweiler. The Rock has an excellent situation; it is literally across the road from the beautiful High Meadow Woods area and a few miles walk from Symonds Yat and the Wye valley. All in all,...

Our two night stay whilst visiting family in the Forest was first class. Couldn't fault anything. Room was very comfortable, everything was exceptionally clean and the breakfast was beautifully cooked (very large so be warned!)
