Best bar manager and night manager, drinks all night and treated us really well. Very polite and hospitable. Lovely to meet them. Very grateful for the experience. Absolute legends. Very respectful and generous. Great experience and no complaints at all! Must stay here
3 of us went for afternoon tea at Great Fosters on Monday 27th June. Where to start, when you arrive and approach the entrance you get a sense of the history of the location - Tudor all day long! We were greeted and shown to our seats very quickly upon arrival in reception. The room was beautiful, sympathetically decorated to entwine modern with the historical surround. Our server was attentive and brought us water and our hot drinks while we were waiting for our afternoon tea. We also indulged in some bubbles, nice treat. We had our sandwiches replenished and plenty of drinks. A very special thank you to Sam Badcock who gave us a tour of the restaurants, Tudor Great Hall and the gardens. Highly recommend a visit!
"Staff on reception were efficient and very friendly - excellent all round" "Fantastic room - no faults whatsoever" "Amazing experience - food delightful and staff wonderful" "We were very upset to leave! We will certainly be back - thank you for a wonderful stay" "A truly wonderful experience - thank you" "Could not fault a single thing from arrival to departure"
What an absolutely wonderful hotel - staff, accommodation and location all without fault - We ate in the Tudor Room - the tasting menu was fantastic. Our whole experience was a delight and we really didn't want to leave - thank you so much for making my husband's birthday one he will remember for a long time. We will definitely be back!
I have stayed at GF many times and every time I'm always made to feel so special with their amazing service. Loving the new rooms too that were built during the many lockdowns always a real treat to be given one of them.
Great Fosters is a fabulous place. Our last night in UK - the gardens are lovely, the food was delicious and our room was something out of the movies. It was a treat to have Abdi there to help with our early morning department. Not sure I would trade my bed for theirs, but it was a great place to dream of knights in shining armor.
We had a wonderful time at the Great Fosters hotel. We booked Spacious Super King Suite and it was a fabulous choice. The room was very clean and tidy. Also, the teepee tent for the kids was a lovely touch. The bar menu was fantastic and the cocktails were amazing. We will visit the Great Foster once again and thank you for all the staff to look after us very well..!!
We stayed for three nights before the start of a 10 day garden tour. We had stayed for one night in 2019 and was so impressed that we wanted to start this trip by sending more time. We had a room in the Coach House - when the bellman took us to our room I thought for sure we would never find our way as we went down long corridors and though many fire doors - but it really wasn't that hard to get back to the main building. Nice large room with fabulous bath - all the amenities. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning, lunch and dinner in the lounge (Caesar salad was delicious) and dinner in the Estate Grill (limited menu so we ate dinner once and also Sunday lunch). We each had a massage and I had a facial - one of the best - amazing technician. Great service, attentive but not intrusive staff. There was a wedding each day we were there but we never felt its presence except for the first morning when the wedding party and guests seemed to take over breakfast. The gardens are beautiful, take time to stroll among them. It was too cool for the pool which was a disappointment since it looked lovely. A wonderful beginning to our vacation.…
I visited the place with my wife.We were greeted well. The service and the team atbthe poll bar was 👌 awesome. The cocktails were made and presented very professionally.Met Cladwell and his team there were great with always ready to serve with a smile.thanks alot made our day.
I paid £332 for a room for the night whilst attending a family wedding there. The wedding ceremony was great along with the wedding breakfast. My room was on the 3rd floor with no lifts, I should have mentioned at time of booking that I am disabled but forgot. Like all hotels the drinks were criminally overpriced with the price of a wine spitzer varying from £7.50 - £11.50. The room was comfortable with views of a brick wall from the bathroom and chimney pots from the lounge balcony. The breakfast was absolutely stone cold with dreadful service. All in all a very expensive disappointment
