We have been a few times just for food while visiting family. This time we also booked a room. The room was nice, just what we expected. Bed and bathroom nice and clean. Bed comfy, enough hanging space. The food is excellent, they have a great GF menu with plenty of choices. Staff are friendly. Would stay again without hesitation....

We chose the ravensworth as we had our tesco boost tickets to use up . Lovely surroundings in this pub, staff very helpful but food disappointing. 3 of our guests chose the two course for £12.50 and plumed for. Fish and chips. They said the fish was very nice the chips were frozen chips and were overcooked . And full...

Arrived to no clean tables, menus on the floor.. once we selected something off the pricey menu we went to the bar to order.. no triple cooked chips which was disappointing.. the bar staff seemed to be preoccupied and only told me after I paid and was served drinks that there was a 40 minute wait on food.. food came,...

5 of us arrived for a meal last night. Table booked for 8pm. We were told food would be about 45 min. We asked for bread to nibble while we waited - 4 baggets arrived which cost us over £5. We ordered from festive menu and were advised to order sweets at same time. Sweets arrived before mains! One requested...

Stayed one night. All staff we met were very pleasant and helpful . Restaurant decorated to high standard . Hotel good enough you pay for what you get . Bit tired looking and shabby in areas . Room very clean . Comfortable bed, nice bedding and towels . Good hairdryer. Breakfast tasty, , maybe sausages could be tastier. Good location,...

Decor was lovely, very Christmassy. Arrived around 12.30 seated straight away but did have to ask for lunch time menu. Good selection of food, we ordered deluxe chicken burger & a normal chicken burger, both came out lovely & hot, tasted fantastic. Price is reasonable. Highly recommend but I do suspect it will get busy over the Christmas period.

This is a really lovely country pub, however it needs to serve home cooked food not freezer to microwave food which is what you do get. Went last night and the food was dreadful. Microwaved lasagne (kiddie portion size) served by a sniffing member of staff full of cold. The cheesecake was okay - shop bought and defrosted. I would...
