I've visited the Lakes many times but not the South Lakes. I'm really surprised with what I've found so far. This site is quiet, well formed and typical of a Caravan And Motorhome Club site, some pitches are sloping, some are level. The pitches beyond...More
I have just returned home after a few nights at Meathop Fell. It's a lovely site, with well spaced large pitches.

It's a lovely walk into Grange but it's three miles though, but there are lots there to see. Plenty of cafes and pubs and independent shops not department size, just local and small. There is a hotel bar close by which serves meals and drinks, we walked to it in about five minutes but didn't go in. There are no other pubs or inns nearby a car or bike would be required. Not many large Motorhome on the site maybe for that reason. Plenty of car parks in Grange at a reasonable price.
