Possibly the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. After a great day exploring the Lake District we settled on here !! I will never be allowed to book the accommodation again !!! Dirty, horrible, disgusting accommodation. Would not recommend anybody ever staying at this hotel.

this was our 3rd visit here. though its stuck in some sort of time warp the excellent food was the reason we went back. The standards have fallen considerably When we asked what the soup was we were curtly told "its on the menu" sticky toffee pudding was a toffee sponge you would buy at the bakers for 50p. The...

Stayed here for four nights as part of a coach party and after reading some of the reviews I was pleasantly surprised. Sadly the hotel does need quite a lot of work but a notice said the ground floor will be next for decoration. This is no way spoilt our stay as the room was lovely which a large bathroom,...

Recently visited here with my wife and son and upon entry to the grounds we were really pleased with how the hotel looked old style Manor with very nice grounds, entering the building it was very dated and needed a bit of tlc but that was understandable as it is an old building. Check in went really smooth and we...

Got this hotel on a Groupon deal, it was great value for money. The hotel itself is tired, but a refurbishment programme is underway. The reception staff are helpful and friendly. Quite a few of the restaurant staff had trouble understanding English, the rest were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, the buffet was refilled regularly, dinner however...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights at the weekend. The staff were excellent and the food was outstanding but the hotel itself was very tired and needs a lot of updating and whilst our bathroom was quite modern, most of the floorboards in our room creaked! Wifi was limited to certain areas in the hotel.

We came with 24 people for one night and got a warm welcome. The staff made us a 'group price' for about 45GBP/person (double room), including breakfast, which was really worth it. The rooms at the back of the hotel, as well as the restaurant, have a stunning view over the bay. Some rooms or the stairway need an 'overhaul',...

Two years ago I wrote a good review while staying for the annual chess congress. I missed last year through health problems. My wife and I always book the Morecambe Bay suite room 103,a room. This year I played in the annual chess congress and my wife and I booked the same room. The week before our arrival I ordered...
