A large party of us stayed here. Everyone was pleased with the hotel. The breakfast here is a buffet with high quality ingredients and a good choice. The rooms are very comfortable and finished to a high standard. Service is very good here and nothing is too much trouble. Some of the furniture in the public rooms is impressive to... More

How many hotels these days gives you biscuits, chocolate, water and free toiletries Very few. Except the woolmerchants. Well done !!! A lovely touch. Paid £200 for one night in a Hilton. No water, biscuits or chocolate. Worrying about the vans in car park being broken into but it's no fault of the hotel Although they did point out the... More

Warm, comfortable, clean and tidy room and bathroom.Good for a short stay. Free parking and excellent central location for shops and restaurants although it does have it's own restaurant on-site. If entering after 8pm you need a code to unlock the main door - a bit strange for what purports to be a mainstream hotel

Stayed here again solely because they could provide a twin room. Room better than on previous stay, very comfortable, with a decent reading light this time. However some knobs had been removed from bedside cupboard and not replaced and the door fitted so badly it was difficult to open and impossible to close without a big shove and consequent big... Am staying in Halifax for the week unexpectedly and was recommended this hotel as opposed to my usual chains. Firstly only two rooms left yet I was very pleasantly surprised. Plenty of room and great furnishings, lovely friendly reception and great food. Really really brilliant value for money and will stay here whenever in Halifax.

The hotel is very central, clean and tidy. We thought there was a bar, but it appears to be closed at weekends. Well it was when we stayed. Be good if that was mentioned on the website. It was nice and clean and ideally placed for us though and we would go again. We used it as a base to... More
