Simply the best local country pub. Four adults one child (1yrs) turned up unannounced no reservation (which I think we should have had) but they fit us in with no problems. We went at 2pm sat aft' there were more in than I expected with the odd toddler (not running about manically) the majority of the customers were of a...

Looking for something different to do we booked New Year's Day breakfast after seeing the advert, securing one of the last tables. How lovely it was, no cooking and a very warm welcome from the staff especially after they had a late night celebrating new year. Excellent value, lovely fresh local produce and we could have taken the dog too.

We have been several times this year as a family, with friends and as a group, age range 16 to 80. We always have good food well prepared and presented cooked as you want with good attentive service. We have done evening's and Sunday lunch and always a good range of specials! It's not the cheapest menu in the area...

The service was friendly and the staff were...

My wife, our Yellow Labrador and I have just spent a relaxing weekend despite rather wet weather here (28th-30th November 2015). We have stayed before, and over the past four years enjoyed many meals with my wife's aged mother too (to whom everyone was most attentive and caring).. We ALL have always been made most welcome. Our bedroom (No 5)...

I had the pleasure of staying at the Crossroads inn for one night and I was very pleased with the experience. The weather was wild, wet and windy and my first impression of the bar that I entered from the car park was warm and cosy. I was taken to my room on the ground floor and shown around it,...

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. We ate here both nights and really enjoyed the food; the breakfast was also first class and we were very impressed that a lot of the food was locally sourced. Nothing was too much trouble - we would definitely love to stay here again.

Very expensive menu and very very ordinary food the steak was just about visible under a few supposedly home made chips that tasted more like they had been bought from the local fish and chip shop and they were surrounded by a pile of peas and fried cherry tomatoes I will not be eating there again and would not recommend...
