Comfortable, clean rooms, lovely breakfast and the friendliest welcome you could hope for. This B&B is perfectly located for Up Helly Aa, being just metres from the burning site. It's also handy for exploring Lerwick and the rest of Mainland Shetland, either by car or bus. I booked a single room for the week of Up Helly Aa and, though...

This tidy, clean and centrally located guest house made my visit to Lerwick most enjoyable. The hosts are generous, knowledgeable, kind and are quick to focus on guests' needs. They responded to every request.

We enjoyed our stay at Solheim a lot - the double room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and the owners offered us help and advice when needed. We are very happy with our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the guest house or stay there again.

It can be difficult to find B&B vacancies in Lerwick, and hotels there tend to be expensive, so this reasonably-priced guest house is recommended. It's on a quiet residential street with plenty of on-street parking, yet is only a short walk from the town centre and ferry terminal, with a bus-stop not far away. The room was small but comfortable,...

I stayed here for one night during Shetland folk festival. It is only 100 yards from the main venue and i was very surprised they had any availability at the last minute. I stayed in a ground floor ensuite single which was small but perfectly fine for my needs. there was a lounge next door with Sky TV available. Breakfast...

The b&b is very well located within walking distance of the main street in Lerwick. We were made very welcome and the owners could not have been more helpful providing lots of info on where to go and what to see! Would definitely recommend

This is by far not the best b&b I've stayed in. There us a problem with maintainence, with windows that won't open, cheap electric shower fittings hanging off the wall and general tattieness. I don't mind old fashioned, but this is ramshackle. It took about a week to get a response to a request for a booking. Guess the owners...

If you book here, send an e mail setting out EXACTLY what you think they have agreed to. Although the quote we received in response to our enquiry was for two double rooms for 3 nights, when we arrived it appeared that only one single room had been put in the diary. The room I was shown was very small...
