We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Britten House! We wanted to go somewhere lovely for our 21st Anniversary. Colin is such a lovely host and made us feel most welcome, sorry I didn't get to meet Ann - perhaps next time! Colin told us the best places to eat and we had a lovely meal at The Harbour...

We had a comfortable room with a lovely sea view. Owners Colin and Ann were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the nice, creamy scrambled eggs. The street outside was surprisingly quiet considering it's the seafront. There's a classy Chinese restaurant next door, or it's a short walk to the town centre. Recommended.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Lowestoft, you'll be doing yourself a favour by booking in to Britten House on Kirkley Cliff Road. We've just enjoyed another weekend at Britten House and when in Lowestoft wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The owners Ann & Colin provide an efficiently run B&B, very comfortable rooms, immaculately clean en-suite, a...

Thank you for your review. We do try hard to maintain and improve our standards and facilities. We have had such a lovely time this summer with so many returning guests. It makes our work like a permanent holiday. That's what its all about. Looking forward to seeing you next year. Kindest regards Ann

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very welcoming guest house and would gladly return if we found ourselves back in the area. The house is nicely furnished, well-decorated and very clean - the owners obviously take great pride in giving their clients the best, they even provided a shoe tray in the room for dirty or wet shoes. The...

Thank you for your review. Just a quick note to say we do have our own car park which is for guests which is located behind Britten House. We are on a one way system so you do need to access the parking via Cliff Road just before you arrive at Britten House, the road at the front is unrestricted...

Just returned from our 6th say at Britten House, please read all my previous reviews to gain a picture of how fabulous this Guest House is. Yes the accommodation is second to none, we have always stayed in the Schubert Room with our grandson, extremely large family room, even with a double and single bed there is still room for...

Thank you for another wonderful review. All I can say is we are not planning to go anywhere soon. While people as nice as yourselves keep visiting, its like we are also on holiday and have something to look forward to. Thank you for booking with us for next year and we look forward to catching up again then. Kindest...

Colin and Ann were lovely, the rooms were clean, the breakfasts delicious and it is a historic house, the birthplace of Benjamin Britten, hence the name. We had a lovely welcome and Ann recommended a few places to eat. We discovered a couple of the restaurants are shut on Tuesdays. Nice quiet road which was good for someone like me...

Came here to Lowestoft for 5 days to do my first aid course with Petans. This hotel was a very good choice, training location 6-7min by cab. Breakfast was nice, bacon well cooked and the scrambled eggs were unique. Try them, u will thank me later. I took room No3 (Mozart suite). Huge room, bed is very comfy, despite my...

Unfortunately for us this was, by necessity only a short stay, or we would have happily stayed longer. Britten House is very well situated in a really quiet location. A great welcome and an extremely comfortable, restful room. Spotless décor and with plentiful facilities - clean and beautifully presented. Tasty and very generous breakfast served by a very congenial host....
