we live locally and decided to try out the refurbished Mayflower. We were not disappointed. The set menu is comprehensive and good value for money. The staff are friendly and the food excellent. Well worth a visit.

One night stay with the wife without the kids , From the moment we arrived we were allowed to check in an hour early which freed us up more for the afternoon. The area surrounding the Mayflower is very quiet The rooms were very individual ,modern spacious, spotless . Complimentary home made cookies, bottled waters, coffee machine capsules. Our friends... Had a great nights stay in a lovely room in the pub which has been beautifully fitted out in what seems a recent refurb of the whole pub. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding plus staff were superb throughout - happy and courteous at all times!

I've stayed at the Mayflower before a few times before it was refurbished and always enjoyed my stay, however since the refurb the hotel is even better and I would recommend if you are staying locally then stay here. The food is excellent and the rooms are perfect. I look forward to my next stay.

Stayed here for a couple of days away. The local walks are superb if you are a nature lover. The Isle of Wight Ferry is a stones throw away. The staff are fabulous and could not do enough for us and our two labradors were made really welcome and treated as guests! Nothing was too much trouble, and the food... More

What a lovely pub. We stumbled across it on our coastal walk to Hurst Cadtle fir a drink at lunchtime, the decor, atmosphere and menu persuaded us to book a table for the evening. Lovely friendly staff welcomed us in their stripy t-shirts - (and a roasting fire too) we had the jolliest of waitresses who knew the entire menu... More

We really liked it at the Mayflower. The staff very friendly, lovely clean room with tea and coffee making facilities. We had room number 6 which is very large and has shower and roll top bath. Comfortable bed and a fantastic breakfast. We don't have any negative points.

We stayed for 2 nights & loved the breakfast. The scrambled eggs were the best I've ever had. We also had lunch when we arrived. The... More
