I was amazed by the instant repose I felt as I was welcomed into Passford House Hotel. Full of beautiful antiques and furnishings, you could spend hours just wandering through the cosy loungerooms, bar and hallways. The grounds are equally impressive, with many pathways to wander, and seating for admiring the manicured gardens in fresh country air. The Monet Garden is particularly spectacular – like walking into a dream. There are also plenty of outdoor activities available for the more energetic, and lots of nearby attractions and gorgeous country towns to explore. The room I stayed in was perfectly comfortable and roomy. All the mod-cons combined with elegant vintage furniture and fittings. The dining rooms made me feel utterly spoilt, with table settings fit for royalty, and delicious, elegantly-plated meals. The most impressive quality of Passford House, however, was the service. Every member of staff was warm, friendly and incredibly hospitable. Staying at this charming hotel, steeped in history and character, was a truly delightful experience.

As we return time after time, we are never disappointed. The owners and the staff make us feel so relaxed the moment we step through the front door. We have stayed in numerous rooms and everyone has been spacious and tastefully decorated. The food has jumped up in price since our last visit but with fuel increases its not surprising.

What a hidden gem. I came to the hotel for a massage and had a lovely walk around the grounds first which are beautiful and a cup of tea in the comfortable lounge area. The staff were really friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The massage was amazing. I'd highly recommend Heather, I had more of a sports massage as I had so many knots in my shoulders and boy did she get them out! Hurt at the time but I really needed it and felt so much better and relaxed afterwards. Hopefully next time I can have a more relaxing massage!! I was recommended the hotel and massage by a friend and I'd certainly be recommending it to others and will be back again soon for sure. Sometimes you just need a bit of me time, rest and relaxation and this is the perfect spot. I haven't stayed here yet as I live locally but Ive heard great things about that too.

There are lots of good things about this hotel. In some ways it’s a little like stepping back in time. The service is polite and friendly and the facilities are excellent. My daughter loved the pool and sauna and the excellent gardens. However, as others have written, the floorboards are so creaky. I don’t think the people above us were unreasonably noisy, but every step they took sounded like they were harbouring an elephant. We tried to go to bed early (as I was staying with my young daughter) but were woken up when they came to bed, and then a couple of times each night when they visited their en-suite. It’s really hard to recommend a hotel when it’s so hard to get a good night’s sleep. I know it’s an old building, but they should be pulling up their carpets and floors and using shims and graphite powder to make it bearable!

I recently stayed at Passford for 3 nights. I had never stayed before, having not really known about it or found it (at least not easily) on Booking or other sites. As it happens I booked directly with the hotel. This is one of those hotels where you arrive and just know that you are going to have a really wonderful stay, and so it turned out to be. The location is perfect; quiet, secluded, and utterly, beautifully peaceful. The wonders of the New Forest are a stone's throw away, and the charming towns of Lymington, Brockenhurst, Beaulieu, Lyndhurst, etc are all in very easy reach by bike or car. The hotel has some grounds which are all very well kept and nice to wander in. The hotel is wonderfully decorated and upkept; the room we stayed in very pleasant and cosy, with an excellent bathroom. Overlooking a pretty courtyard, and again all in beautiful and quiet seclusion. The communal areas are really well laid out and invite you in to rest your feet and read the papers. Although we did not try the bar or restaurant they both looked great, and next time we will stop for dinner I'm sure. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The only minor fault is the leisure facilities. Like many hotels in this class, the leisure facilities tend to be a little overlooked and I dare say that the pool and gym could ideally do with a little bit of a revamp. I'm happy to bring my toolbox and fix the sauna door next time if you like, Passford Management! Anyway, a small quibble, because I did swim and I did enjoy lying by the pool after a long walk, so it was all fine really. In summary, I think this is a true gem and would highly, highly recommend. I always hope that places like this will succeed; you spend a few days in such a charming, wonderful hotel and you feel well and truly refreshed.

We were meeting up with family and would normally just stay at a Premier Inn but saw Passford House so booked there for a change. We are so glad we did 😃 The house is set in beautiful grounds that you can walk around and take it all in. The rooms were great as was the service. We cannot wait to book our next visit. Thank you Team Passford House

We have stayed at this lovely New Forest Hideaway on several occasions and it doesn’t disappoint . Always a warm and friendly welcome and rooms well appointed and extremely comfortable. Food and drink very reasonably priced (no post Covid exploitation here!) and customer service always attentive.

Just back from another lovely stay at the Password House Hotel. Met Mrs Hudleston on arrival and she remembered me from my stay in November. Great service from all the staff, nothing is to much trouble and they go out of their way to ensure you have a lovely stay. Nice choice of breakfast items and evening meal in the restaurant or light bites can be eaten in the bar area. Rooms are clean, very comfortable and quiet. Lovely grounds to walk around and the snowdrops were out. Nice indoor pool and sauna. Look forward to returning later in the year.

The staff really went above and beyond for us when we let them know it was my birthday. Honestly can’t recommend this place more highly. The food, location and aesthetic is exactly what a relaxing get away should be. Open fire places, board games, drinks and great staff really looking after us. Loved it and will be recommending this to anyone who asks.
