Visited on a very busy Saturday afternoon when a wedding party was well underway. Service was as good as always, but perhaps due to the fact the kitchen staff were very busy the food was not to the normal high standards. Bit of a shame really - and certainly not worth the prices charged. Hopefully this was just a one-off....

The Old Court Hotel is a very lovely old building set in the interesting area of Symonds Yat and could give a wonderful experience. I was with a party of 10 people who recently spent the evening here, with food and drink. The staff were friendly and the service was ok. Several of us ordered the wild mushroom risotto which...

We recently enjoyed a weekend at the Old Court Hotel. The location is great with free parking and two restaurants both serving great food. Our well behaved Cocker Spaniel likes to be with us and is great the friendly staff made her as welcome as us. We were so impressed we have booked to go back in a few weeks....

Just returned from another cracking stay at the Old Court. Stunning location with lovely garden. Stayed in cottage and self catering apartments, which were beautifully done out. What made the stay was how accommodating and friendly the staff were and special thanks to Victoria, the owner, who couldn't have done more to make our stay enjoyable. Will definitely return.

£18 seemed rather steep for 2 cream teas. Scones were not homemade and cream was not clotted. Still I didnt have to buy them from Sainsburys and stick em in the microwave for 7 seconds. We couldn't decide if cream was whipped or from a can.

We stopped off here on the way to Monmouth. Having being there before and having good experiences it seemed a good idea. After ordering drinks we made our selections for food. I chose the Old Court beef burger, mistake! The chips were either cooked a long time ago or reheated and dreadful. The burger though tasty was very small in a...

We visited today for lunch after a little trip to the butterfly zoo across the road. First impressions are that the building is absolutely stunning! Upon walking in, myself, husband and our toddler were looking around for a table. While debating where to sit, I was cut across by a member of staff, who rather bluntly informed me that because...

Thank you for the review and the kind comments about our staff. We are sorry you did not feel that we catered for children and that you felt a staff member was blunt with you on arrival. We welcome children in all our rooms but do try and keep the bar area as adults only due to the environment that...
