It was not their fault that current road works made it almost impossible to enter their car park & being fully booked we had "Hobson's choice" as to bedroom. We have had better rooms before. As usual the menu & wine list were both good & the staff attentive. Breakfast was fine but they missed part of my order which...

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We are of course delighted you enjoyed your meal in our restaurant. We are sorry you didn't realise when booking our family room online, advertised as Family Room B&B, that your evening meals were not included and would be charged for. We do offer online, a special Dinner B&B rate,...

Stayed for two days in a superior room on a DBB deal. We had room 6 on the first floor at the front of the hotel. No problem with noise with secondary double glazing. The place is old and the floors creak a lot but overall the room was very comfortable, with large bed excellent powerful shower and the usual...

Stayed one night en route to Wales to break the journey up. Located right in the centre with car park at rear, seemed enough spaces etc. Checked in ( booked direct) so had a superior room. Guy offered to take our bags - which if your no good with stairs etc then take him up on the offer! Room was...

My husband and I had stumbled upon this hotel 30 years ago and finding ourselves in that area again decided to revisit. What a lovely place, extremely well appointed rooms with a kinds of taughtfull extras. Delicious food and reasonable rates. Couldn't recommend more highly

I've no idea where these other reviewers have stayed lol. This place is old and very tired. I don't mind old but neglected and tired could be much improved and it isn't. We paid for a superior room so I dread to imagine a standard. It was pokey and dark and scruffy with very dirty windows. The air conditioning machine...

The Kings Head Hotel is a lovely place to stay. We stopped off for just one night on our way back home from a festival. We had a 'superior' room and it was lovely & spacious. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The front of house staff were lovely, as were the bar staff. Didn't have an evening meal...

A lovely, very old building with great character right in the centre of Ross with its own parking. Everything was clean, good fresh food and pleasant helpful staff. We didn't expect breakfast as this was not mentioned when we booked but it was included and served up until 10am, ideal.

Stayed 2 nights and couldn't fault great staff, very keen to oblige. We asked for extra milk and icepacks to be frozen - this was no problem in the slightest. We had an evening meal in the restaurant out the back. Super! The hotel is pretty central to all shops and close to several walks.

Stayed here two nights. Our room was large, clean and traditionally furnished. Bed and pillows were excellent. Hotel wifi was excellent. The shower room was also clean, but very small indeed and the plumbing was the noisiest I have ever come across. There was also a noise problem in the bedroom. Our room (No 10) looked out on the High...

Thank you for taking the time to leave both your reviews. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your meals at the hotel and enjoyed your stay enough to want to return. We are really sorry you were disturbed at 6.30 am by some vehicles passing the hotel. It is a shame you didn't mention this after the first night...

The Kings Head is an excellent place to stay. My sister and I stayed 5 nights here, and not once were we disappointed. The hotel has real character: winding staircases, creaky floors etc.... But then what else would you expect from a 15th century building?! The breakfast is first class, all freshly cooked to order with local produce, as is...
