Hands down the best hotel me and my partner have ever visited. We stayed over as we were going to a friends wedding and did not expect the hotel to be as amazing as it is! Room was lovely and clean and the bathroom was great. Downstairs the bar was very friendly and a nice atmosphere to have a drink....

We visited family and stayed overnight in one of the hotels superior rooms. It's an ancient building so the flooks are creaky and quirky but our room was excellent. Large and we'll furnished with a nice bath and shower. It was very clean and the queen sized bed very comfy. Our evening meal was excellent, breakfast okay, nothing to complain...

Fantastic find and deserves its excellent reviews. A very warm welcome, friendly staff, fantastic food and a clean and comfortable room with everything you need. Stayed three nights with the dinner, B&B deal and had the best T bone steak I can recall: as for the asparagus............wonderful. So no surprise one morning, while catching up with the news in the...

Thank you so much for your review, we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and of course, the local wildlife. One of our front of house team did manage to capture a great photo of the ducks, it has received many likes on our Facebook page and even made it to the local newspaper. Thank you again, we look...

6 of us met for lunch travelling from all over. The kings head ticked the boxes. We ate in the bar area, lovely low beams. Local wye valley beers, great food, good service, would recommend. Parking, easy access, central location, bookable restaurant, thanks for the enjoyable lunch.

We stayed for 2 nights end of May. Our room was very comfortable with a walk in shower and a nice firm mattress on the 4 poster bed. In the middle of the town with a car park so we just left the car and walked. Lots of local walks. We did 2 both walking by the river which were...

Excellent food and service. They only use local produce. Staff very friendly & helpful. Would go again & thoroughly recommend. Couldn't be better placed in the centre of Ross and for seeing the whole area. The room was quite small [but it is an old building] and well appointed with a walk in shower in a modern bathroom. good car...

We arrived on a Saturday at 12 to check in, the gentleman on arrival was pleasant enough and we were happy that we were able to have our rooms straight away which they didn't have to do. The pub and restaurant down stairs was decorated lovely. The rooms are beautiful and very unique, nothing is straight given the age of...

Thank you for your review of the hotel, we are pleased you liked the decor and ambience of our bar, restaurant and your bedroom. We are very sorry to hear your sleep was disturbed by a couple of inconsiderate fellow guests. We do ask guests returning late, not to linger and respect other guests right for a peaceful night. Hotel is in a perfect position in the centre of town. There’s a small car park situated at the rear of the hotel, but you would need to get there early as space is limited and parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. We had a superior room which was fine, although there was nothing superior about the view from...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your one night stay at the hotel. We believe our room rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. Lovely lovely hotel, bar gets full of interesting locals, serves Fizzy Friday, 15 quid for a bottle of prosecco, does cocktails, dinner was lush and plentiful, all service is with a smile, nothing seems too much trouble. Room comfy, but when we come back I'll ask to avoid room 15!! My thighs should be able to crack walnuts now!! Phew!

Thank you so much for leaving your review and the two photos. The photo from room 15 is of course, the view from one of our rear facing rooms. Unfortunately, being an old listed building it’s not practicable to install a lift. However, we do have some really nice rooms on the first floor, which of course can be requested...

First class in every respect. A warm welcome from all staff. Excellent restaurant and super bar snacks. A good selection of reasonably priced beers and ciders. If all the other rooms are as nice as number 5 then there can be no adverse comments. All in all a very pleasant stay.
