I phoned the day before my arrival to request a light room with a view as I was attending the funeral of a friend. My room was right at the back with a 'view' of the roof. It was depressing and claustraphobic. The windows were all mouldy. There was no mattress cover on the bed. one pillow. The bathroom was...

Stayed here for one night with a friend to go to a gig at the Civic. We knew what to expect as we had read the reviews and we are not the moaning type so always make the best of any situation! We only paid £30 which was cheaper than a taxi home so that helped! It's close to the...

18-24's close to clubs which is good & cheap, there's no music channels on the tv so take your own speakers, You don't get ashtray's in smoking rooms, you don't get glasses to drink from, it took them 2 & a half hours to bring me & my friend an ashtray up, Double & single rooms are ridiculously tiny, there...

Fair enough price for a one night stay but because it's cheap doesn't mean it should be dirty. Hairs in my mug left in the room, teapot still half full from last guest and an overwhelming smell of cannabis along the corridor. Apparently this warrants a shrug of the shoulders from management and a "we will get back to you...

This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in in my life! After a 6 hour drive I was knackered and looking for comfort. Big queue at reception 1 guy on, took 20 mins to check in. The first floor smelled of damp. My room was a cupboard, broken window, stains and plastered holes all over the wall....

Only ever stayed here on business due to it's convenient location for us and good rates. Hotel has always proved to be good value, clean and adequate rooms. Service with a smile also helps. Will use again

Firstly I must say I agree with the majority of the negative reviews. I stayed on my own in a single room which was in need of a complete refurbishment and the very least a deep clean. I arrived early hoping to get my room and was told it would not be ready for 2 hours. Well. when I eventually...

This is one of the worse places I have stayed in at this price range. The room looked clean on arrival, but looking around we found mould, signes of damp, dust, cobwebs and broken fixtures and fittings
