We stayed here a few weeks ago because a band we wanted to see was playing on the Saturday. You get what you pay for, facilities basic but clean & tidy. One side of hotel very noisy until late at night but the other side is dead quite so ask for what you want when you book. The staff are...

If I was to stay here again then I'd need to book 2 rooms, 1 for me and 1 for the man holding the gun to my head! Cold room with a broken heater in it, only 2 plug sockets 1 of which was needed for the TV the other for the kettle. The "shared" bathroom had a sliding door...

This beautiful building, centuries old!! Needs some desperate TLC. Throughout. The pub could be stunning!! Needs someone to see its potential but it needs a lot of monies spending on it. On arrival we were told our room.. a very steep staircase took us upstairs...The room we were allocated smelt of urine/feet!! We noticed later we were on top of...

First it should not be called a hotel but a pub with rooms, The parking was a nightmare although they say there is some. We were lucky with our room being at the back (no 6) so that the disco that went on until after 3am (every saturday) didn't affect us but the other poor guy whose room looked out...

A very, very, very tired and battered old hotel in the very early stages of renovation. Clearly the only choice in town but the hosts tried hard to make you welcome whilst servicing the needs of both local residents and visiting workers. Recently refurbished en-suite double room was faultless - well renovated and spotlessly clean, and spacious. New carpets, furnishings...

Like prison?? Then go here! Like premier inn type places?? Then don't go here. The guy using the closet is in fact the cleaner! Caught him there when I checked in??!! Try the holiday inn down the road it's bloody lovely and the bird behind the front desk is lovely! Looks like a young Agatha Christie. Anyway after seeing the...

I've given this 4* on the understanding that the issues with the light and hot water in room 5 will be fixed. The room was basic and in need of some TLC but this is reflected in the price. The main thing was that the bedding and towels were all pristine. I don't write many reviews on here and wouldn't...

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food (a sandwich lunch) was fine, but the premises were tired. The building has huge potential which seems to be unfulfilled. so, not a place I would return to in a hurry and hopefully the owners will transform the place soon.
