I lived in England in the early 80’s and this was my first trip to the island with my daughters Mane (15) and Paz (13). I badly wanted to show them my favorite region in the interior of England, the Cotswolds and I also wanted to spend a couple of days with a typical English family, to show my daughters...

Thank you so much for a wonderful review! We loved having you here, you were our first visitors from Argentina. Your great interest in everything we had to show you was addictive, and I felt we could not do enough for you. We do hope to see you again! Poppyxx

Five of us invaded Poppy and Graham at their lovely house for a night. Although the weather was not great, and the cold Spring had held back the growth of Poppy's beautiful gardens, our visit with them was still quite delightful. Poppy recommended a brief walk for us to occupy us until tea was served at 5 PM. The tea...

'Prepare to be cherished', was our greeting, and we certainly were! On a freezing cold evening we sat by the fire in the elegant drawing room with pre dinner drinks and lively chat. This is elegant but not stuffy. A tasty meal in the dining room with our hosts and then a blissful nights sleep in our cosy room. Would...

My mother and I have just had a wonderful few days staying at Uplands House. Poppy is a wonderful hostess and made us feel most welcome. She has a knack of making you feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble. We were made to feel like house guests, rather than paying visitors. We loved relaxing in the sitting room...

We were greeted on arrival with tea and a delicious home made Christmas cake. The house was beautifully warm - from late afternoon a roaring log fire and comfortable sofas made coming 'home' (for, indeed, this is how Poppy likes her guests to feel) a joy, after the cold and rain of this English winter. Menus were discussed with us...

We stayed New Year's eve - a big log fire, amazing dinner with vegetables from the garden picked that day, huge breakfast with EIGHT home made jams made from fruits from the garden, very comfortable beds......And Poppy has a gift for conversation - we learned a lot about her fascinating life in sport - an inspiration to our daughter (12)...

I have never written a review for Trip Advisor, but when I read a review about Uplands House posted on 1st November titled "Guests come second" I felt obliged to set the record straight. I have stayed at Uplands House three times and on each occasion Poppy and Graham have proved to be kind, warm and welcoming hosts, who go...

Wonderful !, it was the perfect quintessential English B&B in a superb location of the Cotswolds. We stayed in the four poster bedroom, it was immaculate, the entire house was full of charm and it was like been transported back in time. We were sorry we didn’t stay in for dinner on the night we arrived, as we though it...

After my husband passed away this October I felt I needed a little time to collect my thoughts and being the first time I had travelled on my own in 49years I wanted to find a location that I would feel comfortable in. I looked on the internet and Uplands House caught my eye and I’m so glad I booked...
