We stayed here for one night following a visit to the Opera House. Room was lovely and warm and cosy, perfect to come back to on a freezing cold, wet night. Generous hospitality tray, and breakfast was delicious - even the eggs were perfect. We will return here the next time we visit the Opera House. Well recommended.

The first thing we noticed on Arrival was the views of the Gardens across from the Hotel and the lovely Autumnal views. We were greeted as if we were old friends and promptly showed to our room, overlooking the Gardens. The room was spacious and complete with WiFi. The bathroom was also large and if a little dated was ideal...

Lovely location.. overlooking the small lake / pond. We were met by a friendly lady who checked us in. The room was clean and tidy with fresh towels on the bed. Our bed was very comfy and the room was well heated even with the terrible weather we had :( We both had a Full English for breakfast.. cooked perfectly....

Stayed for one night in room 4 which overlooks the stunning lake. Good sized room with large bathroom which was all very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and hot having been cooked to order. This hotel definitely feels more like a B & B but the staff are great and you cannot fault the location.

What a lovely hotel! 5 minutes walk from Buxton itself and overlooking beautiful lakes and gardens. Room was clean and inviting and breakfast was very tasty. Plenty of choice and very friendly staff. Ideal location to wander around Buxton or use as a base to explore further afield.

Had an enjoyable stay. Room was nice and clean & had a great view of the lake & park infront. A good choice of breakfasts and they were great!. Would not hesitate to return if in area again. Not far to walk into the town, 5 min across the park.

Stayed for two nights in a room overlooking the lake , easy to find with ample parking , I bit of confusion over the bed layout as we thought we had booked a double but the room was a twin . The owner very kindly rearranged this whilst we went for a walk . Everything was as you would expect...

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in September. I would say it is more like a b and b than a hotel. That aside we enjoyed our stay here. Good. size room at the side of the hotel. Clean with tea and coffee making facilities but no fridge. We did not make use of the lounge which was large...

We stayed for one night at end August in a standard room on the first floor at the side of the hotel. The good points: location overlooking the park/lake with easy pedestrian access to all Buxton town attractions. Breakfast was OK, although limited continental breakfast choice if you didn't want the full English. But passed the orange juice test -...

I stayed as one of a party of 7 on motorbikes over the recent Bank Holiday weekend. I was in a twin room with a lake view and it was large with an equally spacious bathroom with a bath. Both rooms looked out over the lake in the park, with the Broadwalk running alongside. We had coffee and tea facilities...
