I stayed one night at Hawthorn Farm with my mother and my 11 year old niece. The family room was very cozy, Paul (our host) was most welcoming and even drove our suitcases down to the city centre for us. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast...catering for those wanting the full English with local oatcakes, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Good location for town or country activities. Basic but comfortable bedroom.

Our experience at Hawthorn Farm was one we'll always remember. When we arrived we were made at home by the owners instantly, showing us each of our rooms. A wonderful stay in a historic building. We were made very welcome by the owners, they are so warm and friendly. We were especially delighted at the care taken as we are vegetarian/vegan even to being served soya milk with a delicious breakfast.

Very impressed with the service provided at Hawthorne Farm. Paul was kind enough to text me letting me know there whereabouts in case we arrived earlier.
