The Swan has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. We stayed for 2 nights in a dog friendly room, the room was lovely, nice décor and very clean. All the staff we came across in the hotel were friendly and polite. When we checked in and shown to our room a few minutes later the lovely lady from...

First impressions were great, fabulous refurbishment comfortable beds too. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast was cold on both days even though we told management. Serving trays had no gas underneath to keep food warm, when staff were questioned they told me they could not find the gas!! Adding to this the plates were cold too!! Not so good for a 4*hotel!!...

Lovely rooms. Fantastic bed. Need a bit of staff training (many are very young and don't seem very confident) to become more professional, but great location and great refurbishment. Beautiful garden too.

Had stayed here a few years back. It's much nicer now with the refurb: our bedroom in particular was bright and airy and all very clean. Staff at reception and at breakfast were genuine and friendly. Food at breakfast was lovely, really tasty. Restaurant menu looked a bit fussy for us so we ate elsewhere, but I've no doubt the...

We returned for 2 nights to stay at The Swan having been before whilst their refurbishment was still ongoing. The last time was fantastic (rooms, service & food), but this time it was on another level - the bar is great, and the lounge very relaxing. We had a complimentary upgrade into one of the deluxe rooms, and it was...

I enjoyed an overnight stay with my partner on Thursday 23rd March. Since our last stay in September, the rooms have been fully refurbished to a very high standard. All the staff were very friendly and only to pleased to help. I haven't stayed long enough to enjoy afternoon tea in the garden, but I will look forward to it...

We stayed at The Sawn for one night (on 25th March). Very pleasantly surprised at the hotel from the lobby to our room. You can smell the newness throughout and it would appear that they didn't cut corners in the renovation. Whilst the building is evidently very old, the renovation has brought it up to date. We were greeted by...

We returned after a stay in September to find the Hotel fully refurbished in lovely style. We had booked a superior room and struggled with how they qualified each category. I believe it is down to size of bed. our bed was a super king size, the room was compact but fitted out nicely plenty of hanging space plenty of...

IGNORE THE OLDER REVIEWS AS THE HOTEL IS COMPLETELY REFURBISHED. We stayed here for two nights. To be honest The Swan wasn't our first choice for accommodation and having read some of the older reviews on here we were slightly concerned what we were going to end up with. We had a lovely cosy room which had a comfy bed...

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. It was extremely good value for money, particularly compared with the place near crickhowell where we stayed the night before (which was twice the price and half as nice). The newly refurbished rooms are quite luxurious, very comfortable and clean. We ate in the bar - delicious steak and chips and...
