One night here. Lovely cosy old pub. Nicely refurbished en-suite room showing some original features. Good view of castle from first floor room at front. Good complementaries. Breakfast was very well presented and delicious. Parking in public car park over the road - easy Staff - very helpful and welcoming. No bedside lamp due to layout of electrics. I didn't... More

We telephoned the hotel direct to make our reservation for one night as I needed to confirm that our dogs could sleep in the room. On arrival late afternoon, as arranged, we found no staff there but a room key on a table with a note suggesting we have a pleasant evening! The bar was closed, and remained closed, and... More

We booked in here for one Sunday night mid November. The accommodation was compact, well furnished, spotless though it was showing some signs of wear. We did have a front room with a splendid view of the castle, image attached. The one way road that passes in front of the hotel is relatively quiet at night. As we had the... More

I spent 3 nights at the hotel. I had a lovely twin room at the front of the hotel overlooking the Castle. The hotel is steeped in history and character. The room was quiet and had all the facilities that one would normally expect. Breakfast was served in the dining room with a good range of options to chose from.... More

A quiet and comfortable Bed & Breakfast hotel that will do private dining for a party of guests. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and being down a fairly quiet street undisturbed at night. Good generous breakfasts with plenty of choice. friendly staff and a great dinner.

I stayed here due to a work and not being able to stay in my usual hotel. It's a quaint small hotel that faces the castle (the clue is in the name!) I arrived when it was dark and parking is opposite in the castle car park (free between 5pm till 9am). I do admit I felt slightly vulnerable as... More

Hotel ideally situated for a visit to the castle and town of Chepstow. Ample parking in public car park opposite. We had a large room with wonderful view of the castle, comfortably furnished and good sized shower room. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was exceptionally good.

Last Saturday (Oct 15th) we were returning home along the A48 and trying to find somewhere to eat and had been disappointed not to get in at several places along the way (since we not booked anything). So in a hungry mood we drove into Chepstow and parked very nearby Castle View. We went in and it seemed very quiet... More
