We came up to attend a photographic event in Perthshire and to capture some of the stunning landscape. This was our first stay at Smithy Cottage. First impressions within the first few minutes tell you so much. Claire and Sandy welcomed us, what a delightful and lovely couple. Set in a perfect location near Loch O'The Lowes outside Dunkeld it...

This B&B really does tick all the boxes. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The beds are large and comfy, with nice touches such as real coffee in the drinks tray. There is also a lounge for guest use with a wide selection of DVD's. In addition the owners leave out whisky and sherry for the guests, this...

This was our first B & B stay in Scotland, and what a wonderful introduction! Down a quiet country road, a lovely house, quiet and comfy room, every luxury you would imagine, and an extravagantly wonderful breakfast. Claire and Sandy are great hosts. Highly recommended if you enjoy a quiet, rural stay....but still close enough to drive easily to a...

Stayed here with my 86 yr old mum (on her way to Balmoral Garden party) and wanted somewhere special for a night on the journey north. We had the ground floor front twin room and we both loved the place. We knew from the moment we drove into the lush and gravelled courtyard garden to a warm and courteous welcome...

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this delightful bed and breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome in this beautiful home. Sandy gave us lots of information on the area and suggested some great places to eat. Our very wet coats and boots were taken away, dried and returned next morning! We were warm and cosy, the bed was so...

The cottage is lovely, the hosts were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. There is much to see in the area and Claire's and Sandy's recommendations were great. They were also most helpful with my food allergy issues. This is a beautiful quiet oasis.
