The whole place needs to be decorated top to bottom, think the last time the painters were in was the Dutch companyJohan Gogh and his young son Van,the room had more cob webs than a Hammer house of horror, the television in the room well let's just say John Logie Baird would have found it dated,as for the rest of the...

Just returned from a 7 day break with David Urqhart. The hotel has obviously seen better days and could do with a real clean up but on the plus side Frank and his team work EXTREMELY hard in order to cater for everyone's needs and nothing is too much trouble. The food is plentiful, clean bedding and towels, cheap bar...

I booked this hotel very last minute... In fact on the ferry to Dunoon as my travel plans changed suddenly. From the photo it looked lovely and in an absolutely stunning location over looking the Clyde. I first became concerned when I drove up to the hotel when there were more holes than road on the drive. When inside there...

This hotel is located in a beautiful setting overlooking the sea, we paid a bargain price to include breakfast so wasn't expecting much.. As soon as you enter the tiredness of the hotel becomes apparent with worn carpets and furnishings that transport you back to the 60's, the room is so tired and its a real shame because looking through...

Stayed here for 1 night. As in previous reviews for this hotel agree that some updating should be carried out.Pretty basic, but for the price quite acceptable. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and breakfast better than expected with plenty of cereals and toast plus full english. Ok for a one night stay.

Booked this short break for me and my wife through David Urqhart travel to secure a good value deal,as we had missed the departure date the previous day we were advised to take a U Drive, where I make your own way to the hotel but get all the benefits of the group booking, this proved invaluable and essential as the hotel...

this hotel has no star rating...and there is a good reason for that fact....it is a tired, grubby, dilapidated dump. Food choice is ....along the lines of school dinners from the 70's pork chop with diced turnip and cabbage....oh yum (not)...bedrooms are ....well they have beds, the sheets and towels were clean....expect nothing else and try to keep the room...

Before we arrived I was alarmed by a few whinging reviews. £129 for 3 nights DBB plus travel and 2 excursions is excellent value for money. If you want 5 star - pay 5 star prices! The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, good choice of food and a cheap bar. If you don't want this; don't go. We had...
