The lunch club is Wednesday and the Christmas lunch we had today for £12.95 was really good for the money. Plenty of it. Nice ambience. A live pianist playing quietly in the background. As usual the staff were superb.

Had our Christmas party works do last night. Had a great time the food was delicious and we were seated down and very quickly getting up to collect our starter. Which was delicious in fact all three courses were fantastic. The only draw back was the the dance floor, was too bright, no tables and chairs the music not all...

I met my friend for breakfast, it was really good. The service was excellent, courteous and polite. Food lovely and great choice. The view over the channel is exceptional. The building is a delight, old and possibly in need of a revamp but clean so not a real problem.

This is the third time in ten years or so that we have stayed at The Grand, a wonderful turn-of-the-century (the 19th century!) place right on the English Channel. GREAT views. Friendly staff. We stayed in the Froxfield suite, on the 5th (in USA, 6th) floor. Fabulous views over the Channel. Large high-ceilinged rooms...bedroom, sitting/living/dining room w/big TV, spacious entrance...

We booked into the Penshurst suite, which is one of two penthouse suites in the old dome of the Grand. Incredible sea views, comfortable apartment and thoroughly enjoying the stay. Sitting on the rooftop terrace with a G&T in the winter sun with a home cooked meal was a delight. Price was excellent we booked at higher rate but when...

Sunday carvery lunch in the only slightly faded grandeur of the imposing Grand Hotel. £24 a head for three courses overlooking the sea: acceptable. But there were a few surprises...First, the carvery was in the old ballroom, Turn left, turn right, turn left, turn right...about a 100 yard round trip to collect and bring back starter. Then the same marathon...

Dear jukeboxcanary, Thank you for the review; I am sorry that you were less than pleased with the water offer on the restaurant tables but would note that this is branded Strathmore mineral water (not tap water) and is clearly marked as costing £4.00 rather than being complementary. We have found that the vast majority of our diners enjoy mineral...

Spent an early birthday celebration booking the Hythe Suite 17-21 October 2016. Our suite was all oak panelled and so much better than todays plastic looks. First class accommodation, fine food and attentive staff

We didn't actually stay but hired a function room. It turned out to be a very good venue with lovely food and staff. The location on the Leas overlooking the English Channel is fantastic on a hot summers day.

We had our wedding reception in The Grand and it was a terrific venue. Everything was arranged by the Wedding Planner, Victoria, who was hugely helpful and attentive. The dining room itself was a lavish venue, and the staff were wonderfully attentive and accommodating for us and our guests. We had the buffet-style carvery, which worked very well for feeding...
