Not too keen on having to book in at bar reception. Room clean although good few cobwebs. Lighting could be better, dark if trying to read. One comfortable chair in double room. Main problem the mattress - far too soft, and you rolled towards the middle of the bed so felt you had to hang on to the edge... time...

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. The views in this area are stunning and because there was a chill in the air, it was lovely to sit by the log fire at the inn. The food was fantastic, steaks cooked to perfection. There was a Lovely atmosphere at this inn and the staff was really friendly....

The food we were served today was absolutely beautiful, 9 of us ate for a birthday meal. We were all served on time every steak was perfect, the vegetarian dish was simply stunning. Staff were wonderful singing happy birthday too. Faultless will definately go back again.

I really wanted to add a super positive review as on arrival everything was brilliant. We went straight to the restaurant and ordered from a great menu. It was my mums birthday and she ordered the lamb but they then told her after she placed her order that it wasn't available. I ordered the steak and my whole meal came...

We stayed for 3 nights here 2 weeks ago. The room was nice despite needing a bit of tlc. However, the breakfast the first day was awful, the only thing edible out of the English Breakfast was the bacon, so that's what we had for the next 2 days - a bacon sandwich. Suffice to say we did not try...

Have stayed here for various things over the years. Used to be a good deal with free breakfast included. Now rooms are worn out and need a refurbishment. Breakfast was OK, but not great. No significant criticism here, but the likes of Travelodge and Premier Inn have caught up this lot.

I guess you get what you pay for with this place - £45 for one night isn't to be sniffed at. However, there is certainly room for improvement. The rooms were nice, albeit a little dated, but the en suite bathrooms were a disappointment. Our shower was cold, the toilet roll holder fell off and the soap dispenser wasn't working....
