I have mixed feelings about this hotel, the photos looked great but when we arrived we were initially disappointed.. I think we must of been in one of the more dated room.. however they have apparently updated all of them within the last few years - with only some of the bathrooms still pending renovation. The corridors are dated, and...

A rear facing room (so no traffic noise) which has had some kind of refurb in recent months/years. Elements of the hotel are a bit tired (corridors and doors for example) but all in all it is fine for a quick stay. Arrived too late to sample the adjoining Italian restaurant but the breakfast the hotel served next morning was...

Stayed for one night on a Saturday. We arrived around 10pm after a long drive to check in, and paid £60 card for room (incl breakfast) up front. We were given the key to room 210. As we went to the room it was clean and tidy. But after about 10 minutes in the room this huge imposing sound went...

Stayed here last night, hoping for a quiet night instead of staying with in-laws. When we booked in it seemed really nice, room was clean and ok, beld felt comfortable and we were looking forward to a good nights sleep. When we came back in the evening about 10:30pm we found out how thin the walls are. We could hear...

We spent one night here. Booking in was ok - young man on the desk very quietly spoken so had to ask him to repeat everything - was requested to pay at check in! Room - small but amenities satisfactory - bed comfortable but bitten by something in the first five minutes of being on there - searched the sheets...

What a lovely hotel! Bed was comfortable and it was generally a suitable location for what was needed. Shop/garage just over the road for necessities. Staff were friendly I would certainly return again when in the area! Only downside was the bar is a little overpriced but hey, it is a hotel!

When I checked in at Briar Court there was clearly an event taking place which meant there were loads of people milling around reception so I had to wait 10 minutes to check in. I was told my room was on the top floor (not sure if all the rooms are) but there is no lift so be mindful if...
