What a welcome sight this place was after a full days hiking on the pennine way. Room was modern and comfortable. Strangely enough the restaurant serves Turkish food which is very good and locals travel for miles around to eat there. I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

Booked a room this weekend and was impressed by the quality of the room, each room is very large and roomy with a high ceiling with beams. The ensuite was immaculate , good powerful shower and loads of hot water to boot and I'll say it never took an age for the hot water to run through. Good quality fluffy...

My family and I went for Sunday Lunch, the pub and eating area with large wood burner, giving a lovely ambience and the views where exceptional, however pity I did not feel the same way about the lady who served us at the bar, she did not break a smile and was rather offhand with me when I went to...

My partner and I went to the carriage house for dinner this evening and although the food was passable I have to say the service was very slow indeed. 40 minutes for the starters to arrive with another 40 minutes between those and the main course. After waiting 20 minutes for our main course the waitress informed us that the...

Great place to stay - beer good, food great and the bedrooms did take us by surprise - excellent accommodation with great en suite facilities. Food in the bar was great but the breakfast was fantastic. Well worth considering - and not just if you are walking the Pennine Way

The room we stayed in was very comfortable and furnished and decorated to a good high standard. The resturant had a good selection of food, including a very nice Turkish menu - which we ate from. Friendly service and excellent value for money. Be aware that the Inn is in the middle of nowhere - so nice and peaceful once...

Don't dine here if your in a rush. Food slow to come out of the kitchen but well worth the wait, it's all freshly cooked. Been here numerous times & the food never disappoints, high quality food at reasonable price. Very family orientated, always made to feel welcome. Suitable for families or couples. Highly recommend.

Walking the Pennine Way and this place is convenient for a stop. Arrival at 5pm caused a problem as no one around but Ok after a phone call and got into room. Room took us by surprise - it was spacious and modern and more like you would expect in a city than a country pub. It did still feel...

Called in today as two of us have been before. Bearing in mind there only appeared to be 4 tables in the main restaurant the service was incredibly slow. Staff had to be reminded over one drink and at one point we went to the bar to get drinks instead of waiting for the waitress to notice us. The food...
