NORTHFIELD HOTEL, MINEHEAD It is rare that one finds that fellow guests have been visiting a hotel over many years, but The Northfield is one such Hotel. We have just returned from our fourth visit and in talking to other guests found some who have been visiting this hotel for over 20 years as well as many who are “regulars”,...

A very friendly comfortable hotel situated within large ground looking out north to Minehead bay The five course evening meals are well cooked and presented with several choices and served by friendly staff in and Edwardian surrounding. Free cream teas each day a 4pm. A good choices of food at breakfast.

This was our first visit back to this delightful hotel since the new management had taken over and we found everything even better than before. We couldn't fault anything and our two day break achieved all we had hoped it would. We were able to relax in comfortable accommodation, the food was delicious, the service was professional and friendly, and...

My wife and I stayed in Northfield for a week in August and really enjoyed the experience. The hotel is, like so many hotels of its type, an old building which is to me part of its charm. Unlike many old buildings it has a lift which is useful for bringing luggage to the rooms, however it is a very...

The Northfield still has an air of elegance, beautiful surroundings, manicured gardens, comfortable spacious accommodation, friendly staff and lots of delicious food. My deal included a cream tea, 4 course dinner, breakfast and even lots of refreshments in our room. I came away relaxed and repleted and hope to return again.

The positives - Beautiful surroundings - Lovely views The negatives - Dinner was terrible; my fish was burnt and my wife's duck was burnt. I can cook far better than the chef here. My wife actually asked to see him which the manger didn't like. When he arrived he had quite a large beard which wasn't covered with a hair...

Sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us at £138 a night half board! not £200 The manager you mention was actually Stewart one of the owners It is a bit offensive to our guest's stating they are happy to eat sloppy food The other review that came in today was from the couple who occupied your room for...

The Northfield (formerly a Best Western) is a charming, relaxing & very comfortable hotel, situated in a quiet area on North Hill. The hotel's gardens are well maintained & includes a small nine hole putting lawn. (very addictive!) The Staff are smart, friendly & helpful. The Bedrooms are clean, comfortable & contain coffee/tea making facilities & bathrobes.(I understand most of...

Stayed for one night at the end of July, we had a lovely time and I would stay again. To be completely honest, the furnishings are dated and the bathroom looked like it may have been top notch way back in the 70's. If modern looking rooms are important to you, then maybe this is not the hotel for you....
