I haven't visited the Blue Anchor Hotel for several years BUT decided to try again after many local people saying what fabulous food was on offer - we weren't disappointed! 4 meals arrived piping hot and we all enjoyed our food. I had Gammon and was presented well. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Yes there is still a lot to...

As stated on the title, walking down the steps from the car park the concrete steps are uneven and broken, as you walk through the front door of the pub you look to the right with a pool room that appears very dirty and unused. Walking through the bar which is dark and your immediate thoughts are this is closed....

Read the reviews, they are pretty spot on. The place is undergoing a make over so there are things that need doing yet but the owners are on the case. We stayed in room 2. Lovely view and worth the little extra. Lovely bed, very clean. En suite was okay, just a job that will be finished at a later...

But now new owners have taken over they have made a huge difference to the pub, particularly to the food. We eat her last weekend after previously seeing the quality of meals being brought out...

Up on a height overlooking the bay makes the view very special indeed. Staff super friendly and helpful. New management in last 6 months clearly giving the place a much deserved lease of life. Big car park if you need that.

Room comfortable, and view across the Bristol Channel wonderful, couldn't have had more friendly and helpful staff. Bar food and breakfast couldn't be faulted either. Overall a good place to stay.

Friendly staff tell me it is under new management. Location superb, food excellent and a good range of drink. I tried an unusual Spanish beer. If you can sit in the lowest bar nearest the sea, the view is spectacular.
