We booked a table for Friday night for a birthday treat, and travelled 10 miles each way, to be told that the Restaurant was 'too cold to eat in!' The alternative was to eat in an extremely small, noisy, and crowded public bar, so after asking again, we were 'allowed' into the Restaurant to eat! 2 other parties then joined...

Food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Highly recommend and will definitely be back when visiting the area. The staff made a special effort to accommodate us in a lovely private part of the restaurant.

This is a pub I have frequented many times, I even had my wedding reception there. Therefore I have always expected a good meal and have always received this. That is until recently. The last 3 occasions that I have visited this pub, since it has changed hands, I have been disappointed both with the service and the food. Today...

Well staying in the area again for a second year do had to revisit the Coachman Inn. Yet another fabulous Sunday (evening) Roast, Roast Beef and all the trimmings..yum yum. Then last night went back I had lamb something I never order unless I trust the place so I tried it absolutely delightful. My husband had the same and thought...

A real gastro-pub in a beautiful setting. The sun was shining and so we had an excelent luncheon outside in the garden. The service was excellent and the food was similar. Highly recommended. Steve 17.05.16

We popped in to the Coachman for lunch after visiting Filey. Being a Friday the bar was serving food but not the restaurant. We shared a fish platter with skinny fries while sitting in the bar by the fire. Food was good and the service genuinely warm and friendly without a script or training course in sight! As the title...

No where near as good as it has been. Cheap bread buns with hardly any filling. Chips just cooked, sauce on sticky toffee pudding had a burned taste to it. Not the type of food you would expect from a nice country pub, more what you would expect from a cheap take your kids to chain owned pub.

Booked through Booking.com but the hotel rand 2 weeks later to say they had double booked and there was no room for me. As there is a large sporting event in the area that weekend of which I was due to be a part of, accommodation in the area is now few and far between. No offer of compensation was...

Stayed here recently for the first time. Initial impression was a little unfavourable because we apparently arrived "too early" (shades of Blackpool boarding houses of bygone days). We had not been told when we booked that check-in time was 5.30 pm onwards, but we were allowed in at 5.20 pm and shown to our room. Things got much better from...
