We have just come back from a 2 day post Xmas break at the Riviera. I can do nothing but speak highly of it. We were greeted with the good news that our room has been upgraded. Stayed for 1 night in early November. Excellent location, opposite the Grand Hotel with views towards the castle and only a 2 minute walk into town. Room was a little bit dated, but clean and really cosy. Lounge and dining area downstairs are lovely, with a bright modern feel. Stayed here recently for one night, had room at front, spacious and everything there for whats needed, no complaints at all. Pleasant and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, presentation of buffet items very well laid out. Parking is a worry but with patience found a spot and the hotel had concessionary price ticket which is well worth it to say parking...

Just returned from what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend in the riviera hotel, don't be fooled by the pictures, noisy overpriced main man rude, rooms on the top floor are like broom cupboards, lift looks like it was purchased from a warehouse, only good thing was the staff at breakfast very efficient and polite,avoid this hotel if you...

we came for one nights stay and thank goodness we hadent booked for longer! on arrival the owner had such miserable look! we had booked a larger double room for my husband and I which we paid for. the room was very small and tired looking in need of decor etc. our son and Daughter in law and 2 year...

It is very nice and quite hotel just two minutes from town centre and nearly on the beech. Service is very good same as food . But the best think is the location. Very nice lounge area to relax in. Would stay here again.

what a lovely lovely hotel, room was great with a sea view room 9, bathroom was massive and very clean. All the staff were nice very helpful, breakfast was a treat, staff dressed in very smart uniforms and the service they provided was excellent. Very nice lounge area to relax in. Would stay here again.

stayed here for 3 nights.30 june to 3 july 2014.nice and clean.decor upstairs alittle dated but comfy bed and modern shower suite.breakfast good too.loads of choice.they catered for veggies!!!! the only thing I didnt like was the lift.you had to slide 2 doors to open and close it .felt unsafe but thats just me.as for parking you get a permit...

Good location in centre of Scarborough opposite the Grand. Clean and warm rooms which provided al facilities. First class breakfast with attentive staff providing plenty of choice. A very nice lounge area
