We've had lots of short breaks in Scarborough and tried quite a few hotels and guest houses, but often come back to Interludes. It's certainly not flash or modern but has loads of character, is in a good position, has wonderful views and is a lovely relaxing place to stay. This time we stayed in "Odeon" room, on the top...

Located conveniently near the seafront, we had a wonderfully full and scenic sea view. Just two minutes from shops and an easy walk down to the beach made this an ideal location. The hotel itself is theatre-themed. With posters and programmes used for decoration. The decor is periodic (I see in previous reviews that some feel it's old and outdated...

Disappointing visit, especially after reading the good reviews. The house is lovely but seen better days: frilly lace curtains, dated furniture, old wallpaper in the rooms. Breakfast was average, no yogurt, pastries, old bananas. Staff were friendly but we walked away feeling slight disappointed at our stay.

I do like this character hotel, situated in the old town. You wouldn't know it was an hotel from the outside, there are no hotel signs. It's always immaculate and spotlessly clean. The owners are always friendly and very knowledgeable on the local area. We had a great room over looking the harbour. The rooms are spacious, the beds are...

We have stayed many times with Bob and Ian at Interludes and have never been disappointed. We recently spent a week with them in Scarborough and could not have been more comfortable. The room and facilities were excellent, as was the food and the company. Our hosts' great passion for the theatre is a real bonus - we feel very...

Unique experience! This hotel/guest house has a theatrical theme throughout. Antique furniture, theatre posters going back years & each room named after a theatre. We went to see an Aykebourne play Saturday evening & they provided an excellent pre-theatre early bird dinner. Massive breakfasts keep you going all day. Great place run by two great guys. We'll be back! DavenDeb71

We went for an extended weekend over the bank holiday. Scarborough was packed, but the hotel just 5 minutes from the promenade was a lovely peaceful sanctuary. Our room was spacious, well equipped and nicely decorated and worth the climb to the top for its views across the harbour. Breakfast was fresh and individually cooked. Above all the hosts Ian...

Ive stayed at Interludes many times and love the hotel and food, Bob & Ian are perfect hosts, unfortunately being self employed I can only take time off when work permits and really wanted to have a few days stay in this haven. Unfortunately its fully booked, unsurprising when you have a fantastic establishment, I will have to wait until...

Phoned to book my room and was told that they would have to phone me back as they were busy, no problem. They did phone back that evening and took all the details, and asked what time we would be arriving and so all systems go. On arrival at the hotel at the arranged time, we were greeted rather abruptly...

The house is completely charming. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was always delicious. The rooms were lovely and afforded us a terrific view. Scarborough is an old city with narrow streets, but parking is manageable. Highly recommend this place and hope to be back one day. Thanks Ian and Bob-we had a great time! Leland and...
