The hotel is looking 'tired'. The room was an excellent size & had plenty of storage space, with the two comfortable chairs. The view was OKAY we could just see the sea. The room had en suite bathroom & the complete room had 'tired' decor, but it was clean. Our package had evening buffet carvery with a bottle of wine,...

Hotel reception far too small for size of hotel. Causing long queues to check in. First impression of this grand building TIRED. Furnishing worn some with torn fabric. BEWARE!!!!! Of city rooms!!! Can only be discribes as dungeons with the fires of hell heating. No windows or climate control. Saniflo system that sounds like the police helicopter.. Decor needs updating....

One man seeing to room complaints and checking in. I asked other employees to please help out - no chance. Finally 2...

This hotel has the longest check in I've ever come across. Seriously ridiculous! I booked a family room using booking.com when I arrived found out that it's in the basement booking.com don't give an option other than bed selection so you get a nice surprise when you check in.

We have been here a couple of times now and love the charm of the place, yes it's in need of updating in some areas but that's not relevant, you get what you pay for, the staff are very friendly and helpful, good food, comfortable beds and rooms, some have jacuzzi baths which is a bonus, we love the place...

This place must have been something in it's day however despite efforts to maintain the building and work of existing staff this Hotel has little to offer other than a weary shell & prime location. Certainly not Grand & a real shame that it cannot be restored to its original splendour. Still has potential but needs attention. Staff helpful and...

Stopped in the not so grand hotel. I can imagine it was a great hotel in its day. However it is a little dated now and needs a big cash influx. I stopped on the 6th floor with a good view of the sea. I was woken in the morning with the bird call of a seagull. It's expected though...

Went for Easter weekend to meet some of our friend's. An hour to get a room key! The bar had not enough staff and shutters went down early. When it was open it had to cater for three rooms so walking corridors all weekend. If we hadn't arranged to meet up with friends then we would have come straight home....
