Cheap enough price for the weekend that we stayed. Owner Dorothy couldn't do enough for us when we were visiting, very friendly and made us very welcome in the hotel. Room had sea view and breakfast was nice both mornings we had it.

6 rooms booked . The proprietor verbally abused one of the guests for asking for more coffe . She subsequently refused to service any of our rooms . 2 of the rooms had no electricity in the bathroom as a light had tripped out . 3 guests ate breakfast elsewhere rather than face the wrath of the proprietor , we...

My brother and I stayed in room number 5 for one night last week. We had been in to several properties who claimed to have vacancies but when approached by the pair of us, decided they didn't have any rooms after all. We were at the point of giving up when a lady sat outside a hotel struck up conversation...

Me and my brother turned up in Scarborough with the intention of getting a room for a single night. We tried a few B&B's with vacancy signs in the window only to be told they didn't have rooms for us. (Odd that...) We found The St. Nicholas Lodge purely by chance where we had a friendly lady sat on the...

The location is excellent, especially with a seaview room such as ours and central for both the centre and Scarborough's promenade. What made the stay was Dorothy, the owner who was such a genuine person who went out of her...

The lodge was very nice place to stay. the rooms were very clean and spotless. the staff were particularly helpful and the view over the scarborough bay was amazing. parking was a bit of the problem but found out on the second day that i should have bought a permit on arrival in the morning which will reduce my parking...

Having been visit scarborough for years the was the worst accommadation we have stayed in. Room was old, dated and poorly decorated. Plain white walls with the cheapest simple metal bed frame. This creaked every time we moved an inch and one side looked like it was going to pop out. Location was good but that's it. Confused about these...
