We have just retuned from our second visit and we will definitely be back. The greeting we got from Jan and Ed was amazing. It was like going to visit family. They are so friendly and helpful, nothing is ever a trouble to them. To be told to just treat it as your home for the next few days was...

A return trip here for us during the Easter break. Ed and Jan were on top form as usual, friendly, homely, wonderfully organised and a breakfast fit for a king. Always smiling and attentive to their guests it's a real pleasure to stop here. The hotel is well situated being near to Peasholme Park and the forthcoming recreational facilities of...

Such a warm welcome on my early arrival, met with a smile, cup of tea and offer of toast almost as soon as I'd walked through the door. After a friendly chart shown to the smart, clean and compact room on the first floor. Everything you may need is there all in perfect order, shower, fluffy towels and all the...

We stayed here for five nights just after Easter, and had a lovely time. Scarborough has been a popular destination for us, and we have stayed at many guest houses and hotels. St. Michael's just could not be faulted - friendly welcome, comfortable room, great breakfast choice, and even the sun shone! Thanks to Jan and Edddie for a fab...

What can be said that hasn't already been said? Our first, but definitely not our last stay in this charming place. Great value for money. Warm and friendly hosts. Possibly the best hotel breakfast ever. Absolutely spotless. Nothing too much trouble. If you are ever in this part of the world, try it. You will not be disappointed.

This is one I would like to keep to myself, but Ed and Jan who own and run St Michael's deserve to be full everyday of the week. This is a lovely, well run guest house close to Peasholme Park and the North Bay beach. You can tell they care by the way they greet guests on arrival and departure,...
