Big hotel. Very old fashioned decor but clean. My bed was comfy and spacious but the room was uncomfortably hot and windows could not be opened and the floor sloped so much it made me dizzy. The creaking from the floor of the room above was enough to wake me several times in the night. The staff I met were...

Booked in for one night . Friendly staff . Excellent room , a bit dated but every thing you need plus loads of room and a brilliant view . Close to town centre , taxi £4-50 into town. All in all a good hotel for a short stay .

Stunning views but a bit of a hike if you've mobility issues. Taxis are cheap though. We had scaffolding outside our 4th floor room so work is being done. Room was very clean but with old furniture but Newish comfortable chairs. Bed seemed to have a decent mattress but was very hard and pillows too soft. Room badly needed decorating...

A large hotel in a prime location with views all round, still with the grand Edwardian era feeling, but mainly with modernish facilities (showers over baths),lift. Lovely staff (to my knowledge many of which have been there for years) , and quality food swiftly presented in the restaurant from a small and sensible choice. Clean crisp bed linen, and a...

I love a welcome break just like anyone and on a cold day there's nothing nicer than to cosy up and snuggle up to my daughter. Unfortunately this was not the case. On entering the room late afternoon we were met with the coldest room. The window was open I'd say an inch or so and the bathroom was not...

Despite looking grand from the outside the hotel is being refurbished on the inside, and I made allowances for the worn stair carpets, dated furniture, and old wooden windows. The priority of a good hotel should be providing a decent bed to sleep, so i was disappointed that the first night of my stay was spent mostly awake on the...

Stopped for a night to see a show at the Spa, and chose the Esplanade due to its convenient location for the Spa. An unexpected bonus was the parking available free at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, the room clean and adequate, with a sea view, and the decor fine. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed...

First I will start with how much we love this hotel and we can see new carpets and painting is happening. Stayed for new year staff are still marvellous . Raised some questions when we left for example what happened with our sixth course on New Year's Eve only had five including coffee. Entertainment was a joke on new year...
