Stayed here for a long weekend and found it a great place to stay. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is close to local shops and takeaways and about 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. Will definitely stop here again next time I visit Scarborough.

Second time at the Rivelyn Hotel and it didn't disappoint. The service was excellent the bar well stocked with a good variety of beers and lager. Breakfast was nice. The hotel although budget represents excellent value for money. The room was clean and tidy although it could do with a lick of paint.

Staff are great rooms are wot you pay for , bit disappointed paid for a double room got 2 singles pushed together. the breakfast is £6.95 sorry guys it's so not worth it go down into town. Think they need to put info regarding the restaurant in rooms.

Have just returned from another two-night stay at the Rivelyn, where the staff are outstanding and the value is unbeatable. The alternative offer of a continental-style buffet breakfast is another real plus for those of us who aren't up to a fry-up in the morning. Easy parking and a great location. Many thanks to the team!

Great hotel, great location. Staff very friendly. Very warm hotel. Will definitely book again would be handy if they did family rooms. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't eat there but did have a couple of drinks in the bar. Nothing plush but value for money

Retuned from the Rivelyn hotel yesterday, stayed in room 115 a nice little twin room...plenty big enough for two of us and our dog. The room was clean, warm and quiet. The bathroom with shower was ok but the water went cold one evening, probably because the hotel was quite full. The beds were comfortable. Tea tray replenished every day...

Stayed here again with my dog after many great stays. Lovely hotel and great staff. Free parking permit for right outside the hotel which was handy, one thing I would say is that we found it abit strange that the sink was in the bedroom because the bathroom was small. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves.

Stayed for a cheap 2 night weekend break and found this hotel fitted our needs and budget . The room was warm large and clean with a comfy bed and the largest fluffy towels I've seen in a hotel , yes the furniture is from another age but it works and if this hotel was transported to Whitby they be...

This place is ok but nothing fancy, so if you just want somewhere to kip then this is ideal as it's cheap and has the basics that you need. The bar is cheap and the dining areas are nice. Rooms are very dated though. Plus in a twin room we only had one cup for the tea / coffee and...
