Selected this guest house after looking at reviews on here. Have to say they're very accurate. Extremely friendly well run guest house good decor throughout and attention to detail. Spotlessly clean, good showers, comfortable beds, tea/coffee making facilities, plenty plugs. Wifi and the full English breakfast hit the spot just right.

Great location, breakfast, but disappointed by lack of good communication when trying to book and actually there. Was shouted at in the breakfast room for asking for granulated sweetner. This was a truly unique experience but not in a good way. We laughed it off but it was quite offensive in the moment

Fantastic warm welcome as soon as we arrived and throughout our stay! Lovely room, with extra blankets and heater if needed due to winter weather. Breakfast was brilliant! Tina is friendly, engaging and more than helpful letting us know of local entertainment and directions for the area. Would definitely recommend and return, wonderful stay!

We stayed at Powys Lodge in June and went back in September as we were that impressed. Tina and her mum are so friendly and made a fuss of our little boy. We would return without question. A lovely breakfast, a short distance from the centre and without question the cleanest B&B we have stayed at.

You will be hard pressed to find a better place than Powys Lodge anywhere. Spotlessly clean, lovely food. The owner Tina and her Mum are beautiful people. Everything is so relaxed. Having been to POWYS LODGE for the first time we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else on the East Coast.
