My wife and I booked into this hotel for a Saturday night only at the beginning of May and thought it was excellent value for money. The price included a cream tea in the afternoon and a four course dinner in the evening, which we both enjoyed. Sadly the weather was poor, but it didn't deter us from making the...

we have returned many times for a short break and to enjoy some rest and relaxation. Spotlessly clean with excellent staff, the food is absolutely delicious with plenty of choice - what more can one ask for!

Hotel is in the very centre of Sidmouth. Staff are most helpful. Cars can be parked at the rear of the Hotel. Car key to be left with reception so that no car can be blocked in since your car can then be moved by staff as necessary. The excellent meals menu changes each day and there is plenty of...

Sadly this visit was only for a few days on a coach holiday, would love it to have been longer. The room was spotlessly clean, all the staff attentive and professional and the evening meals could not be faulted. Most Hotels on coach holidays ask you at breakfast what you want for dinner, but not here, so you can look...

I have been a regular visitor to Sidmouth over many years and have often used the Royal York. The hotel is situated at the east end of the esplanade and provides excellent views of the impressive cliffs on both sides of the town, and is well placed for those who are lless nimble (as was my late wife) to enjoy...

We stayed at the Royal York & Faulkner Hotel for 4 nights over the Easter Holidays with my family and all really enjoyed our stay here. The Hotel is situated on the sea front with easy walking to the many shops, bars and restaurants and therefore a really good location to see Sidmouth. Inside the Hotel, you are greeted with...

Stayed in York Suite which was first rate and very suitable to our needs. Lovely sea views and of course beautiful weather. Very quiet. Balcony very nice to sit out but window stiff to open. I'm sure if I asked someone would have come and helped us to open it. Very clean and comfortable. It was 25 yards from the...

2nd visit to hotel literally one year apart. First with a girlfriend and back this time with my Mum. Friendly, clean, great staff very helpful, lovely setting, good food, great location. If I worked hard to find a negative, it would be at dinner the courses come quickly and a little more time to digest before dessert would be good....
