We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. It is Victorian? but has been recently sympathetically modernised. Our room had a sea view and was very large with a great bathroom with walk in shower. The only downside for us was the poor choice of the evening set menu. There were no healthy (low fat or low sugar) options...

Lovely friendly hotel. The food was excellent and plentiful. The room was well stocked with tea etc and spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable and brand new shower and toilet. Very handy for the shops which were a very short walk away. Car park next door for those who drive there. I was on a coach holiday and we were greeted...

Friendly, welcoming staff who went out of their way to be helpful; an interesting old building with lots of character (in the Regency period it was the library); excellent food (the vegetarian paneer curry was particularly delicious!); and clean, freshly decorated rooms with en suite shower rooms. The location is good, on the sea front a short walk from the...

49 of us descended on mass. Each and everyone received personal treatment. The rooms are spacious, very clean, comfortable beds and nice linen. The bathroom was immaculate, with a walkin shower with sufficient water pressure. Only occasionally could we hear other guests arriving at their rooms. The food, the bar, the lounge, dining were faultless. The staff could not do...

Lovely hotel in many ways, but found it very difficult to navigate, as there are a maze of corridors and doors. Not enough signs marking where the stairs and exit is. I visited with a party of walkers and several of us ended up in the broom cupboard, or wandering round for ages, unable to find the way out. All...

We were bought this weekend as a Christmas present from one of daughter's.... I cannot fault anything about our stay. From the minute we checked in nothing has been to much trouble to arrange or answer. The staff are all polite, cheerful and helpful, especially the restaurant staff. Our bed was comfy with crisp white sheets and duvet cover. Soft...

We left wishing we could've stayed longer at the Bedford. Warm, friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food (much of it locally resourced), and spotlessly clean and well furnished accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble, and this attitude to customer relations, plus such a beautiful and convenient location make the Bedford Hotel a superb place to spend some quality time during...

Great deal with hotel as expected. Excellent hotel with great service from all staff. Stopped for 2 nights and ate at Pynes where food was brilliant and good value. Rooms clean and tidy with hotel excellent value and would recommend as a good place to stop. Family run and reflected in the personal service offered by its staff.

After some lengthy research we decided to stay at The Bedford and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our bags taken up to our room. The room on the 2nd floor was fantastic - large, light, bright, airy with the added bonus of a large window, balcony and wonderful sea...
