On my initial booking phone call nothing was too much trouble to arrange. We stayed in Room 23, (fabulous triple aspect views) and our friend in Room 26 (a single room but they put a double bed in there for her). Both rooms faced the sea. Be aware that the sea on the pebble beach is quite noisy but we...

From the minute we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were offered complimentary tea and coffee throughout out stay. The food is excellent, we had a window seat for breakfast and the staff could not do enough to help, even parking my car for me. The reception staff make you feel at home as soon as you...

The Bedford family run Hotel is a happy mixture of quaint and modern. Quaint, in that you do not feel part of a process when you arrive to be shown up to your room. Modern in that room 31 was well furnished with an excellent new bathroom. All the staff we met were relaxed and chatted away to us. Waiting...

It’s rare that I have nothing but praise for a hotel. The Bedford is one of the friendliest hostelries I have ever stayed in, with the nicest, happiest staff. From the first phone call to book, to the moment we left, my 90 year old mother and I were treated with warmth, kindness and respect, as were the rest of...

My parents stayed at this hotel for many years and always said how nice it was .We went there on their recommendation and was thrilled to find out that our pet cocker spaniel Dylan could come too. We stayed in room 18 which was lovely with a sea view and Victorian balcony . Every member of staff we came across...

Warm, clean comfortable hotel with excellent food. We had a newly decorated room with a small but lovely en suite. Sea view rooms carry a heafty premium so we opted for an inland facing room. Big mistake. Our room (14) only looked onto a yard with the staff entrance. Yard full of junk, kayaks and other assorted rubbish and quite...

What a great hotel. Warm welcome on arrival, staff are so friendly. It was my husband's birthday the day of our arrival and they even left a birthday card for him in our room! How thoughtful. The room was just lovely. Really clean and spacious with a balcony over looking the sea. Incredible! The bed was extremely comfy and the...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. It is Victorian? but has been recently sympathetically modernised. Our room had a sea view and was very large with a great bathroom with walk in shower. The only downside for us was the poor choice of the evening set menu. There were no healthy (low fat or low sugar) options...

Lovely friendly hotel. The food was excellent and plentiful. The room was well stocked with tea etc and spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable and brand new shower and toilet. Very handy for the shops which were a very short walk away. Car park next door for those who drive there. I was on a coach holiday and we were greeted...
